Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

  3. A Small business owner stated that when a gift card is LOST and the owner of the gift card is given a paper receipt ... it would be helpful if the paper receipt had the complete number on it. Understandably, the store owner does not want to loose out on sale if the gift card had already been used.

  4. I posted a transaction using Virtual Terminal, and I went back to look at the receipt, and I noticed that the Note for Item or Service was not on the receipt. When I use the app on my phone, the item description (I always use "Custom Item") always appears on the receipt.

    This is critical for our business as our customers cross reference their receipts with our Company slips that are given to the customer truck drivers when they pick up material from our location.

    Having the ability to add greater detail to the virtual terminal would really help, as…

  5. Would like the ability to break up long kitchen orders into multiples. When we have have more than 3 guest, and several modifiers, the kitchen order receipt can be over 12 inches long. Would like the ability to set the number of guest per ticket and still include the table / server information on the ticket.

  8. Merchant is requesting the orders receipts to have automatic notes for the kitchen for example if they have to areas like bar and grill and there is an order with a drink and a food, the bar needs to be notified there is an item being processed on the grill and they have to wait so they can prep the drinks in a while. Merchant would also like to have modifiers to have labels.

  9. You should be able to have more than 100 items for an individual item and for all items the receipt should show the per item price on the receipt not just the grand total of the item. Right now if it is 10 items for $6.50 each it just shows total of $65.00, it should say 10 @ $6.50
    on the receipt. if there are returns it creates problems.

  10. Merchant request font size on order receipt be larger. Merchant states the larger option is not large at all. Merchant wants it bigger.

When an order is fired that contains individual items that are Hot that go to the HOT printer and items that are Cold and go to the COLD printer that need to go the same table and be delivered at the same time there is no way for the specific printers to know that there is a corresponding order sent to the other printer. Food is getting expedited separately instead of together. The summary also helps with pulling food items to start cooking, then reference modifiers.

  16. Clover used to have the ability to cut the order receipt on the kitchen printer after each Item in an order. We have multiple requests from merchants to bring this feature back, and/or update so that if they are using the Clover Dining/Table app to cut between each guest.

  17. My restaurant takes orders in-person and over-the-phone, so I’ve enabled the option to have order receipts print when Pay or Save is tapped. However, when handling an over-the-phone order, the order receipt is printed when the order is saved, and printed AGAIN when the customer arrives and pays for the order. This automatic re-printing is confusing for our kitchen because they will receive a second order receipt for an order that’s already being/been made.

    Ideally, I’d like order receipts to be printed AFTER a customer pays for their order (not just when Pay is tapped) OR when the order is…

  19. As the title implies, here's a merchant's scenario:

    Their Clover Station is located at the bar area which is on the 1st floor. The kitchen is located in the basement. The kitchen has 2 printers: one is for the order receipt and the other is labeled as a receipt printer for the packager. The packager is responsible for packing the orders and stapling the payment receipt to the handoff delivery bag.

    The issue with Clover is that it's unable to auto print a payment receipt especially when you have multiple payment receipt printers set up (Station USB printer and packager…
