Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Reporting Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover reporting software to help merchants run their business more effectively. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in reporting functions. We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Reporting Functionality: Ideas here should explicitly focus on the practicality and usefulness of Clover’s reporting feature. Is it easy to customize filters? Is the frequency at which reports generated sufficient?

2. Reporting Tips, Taxes, and Service Charges: This category should distinctively include all feedback regarding Clover reports producing intelligence on tips, taxes, and service charges.

3. Employee Reporting: This category should distinctively include all feedback regarding Clover reports producing intelligence on employees.

  1. Unit price should print on receipts even when the item is set as having a "variable price". Currently only items with a fixed price will print the unit price on the receipt. Customers don't care what our settings are... they want to see a unit price no matter how we have our pricing set in the software. This is common sense!

  2. Tip adjusted transactions show in reporting as partially paid. This causes the printed employee report to exclude the service charges (gratuities) from those transactions.

  3. Merchants have discrepancies between what the Closeout App cites as the batch total versus what they receive in their Deposit. To reconcile, we need to pull a batch report that clearly cites what transactions were funded in each batch. Clientline used to provide this report, but recent changes on that portal make this an even more urgent need on the Clover platform

  4. I find it somewhat difficult to reconcile my accounts as the Deposit reports only have the total for each card used. It would be helpful to have a link from the total of each card showing the breakdown of each transaction and the date of that transaction. The total of each card may contain a couple of days transactions and this makes it more difficult to reconcile with Quickbooks Online.

  5. Reporting for comparison of every day sold items and every day change in inventory item list to reflect only items that were only manually changed in inventory.

    This functionality will enhance daily audit ability for owners

  6. The latest Inventory update took away the "item cost" category and the "alternate name" category (which we use to track where we buy items from).

    Tracking what we pay for items and where they come from are crucial.

    This can still be done on the actual POS but not on Clover online. Most, if not all, retail businesses do not stand at their POS to add new inventory they do it on their computer. This update makes this impossible.

    It seems every time there is an "update" it is worse for users. :( Is this a problem for other retailers?…

  7. They want to know if we can generate them a report that will show Customers and Item Sales together. A report showing which customers bought which items that month. The item sales report only shows the items but does not tie it to specific customer. This is going to be a report that need monthly and is possible to have that function added as to where they can pull that report themselves,

  8. Bring back the export option for the new Multi-Location Dashboard per a merchant who has 30 locations. This report is used daily to show sales for each store location. The function was previously there on 10/16/22 and now it is not there.

  9. Currently we can add a note on a transaction/tab but the only person who can see it is the pos user. I'd like to be able to add customers names to tickets that are sent to the kitchen so that when not attached to a table the runner doesn't need to constantly ask foh where to deliver food

  10. I hate the monthly statements. They are 11 pages and show less info then other companies do in 4 pages. I would like someone from Fiserv to look at my other statements in order to make fiserv a much better product.

  11. Inventory reports when exported should have a column including the Category on the Items sheet. That way you can sort by category when looking through your inventory. The example and issue I can give was trying to make a sheet that reported inventory so we can check said inventory. Because the items can't be organized by category and have the quantity column on the same page, you have to manually sort through each item one by one. Having to go through every item one by one and then making a new sheet with the information you need is inefficient.

  12. Clover needs an Employee Performance Report based on the information collected on Clover Dining, owner of the restaurant would like to know how many guests, not orders employee's served, average sales of employee, total guests and sales, and summarized in a column by best performer to least performer. The owner of the restaurant would like to know how many guests the whole restaurant served the whole day and have it be customizable to the date and time of choice. Results showing the best employee performance serve to the least

  15. It's been an issue for our merchants who want to have the daily closeout / batch report emailed to someone at their company who is not the owner.

    Clover does not have the ability to have the automated batch report go to a controller, Cfo or someone in the accounting dept. It can only be sent to the email associated with the Owner of the Clover account.

    Seems like an easy fix. Can we get it done?

  16. I am an ISO agent and am currently signing-up merchants for payment processing in the tourism industry which relies heavily on agent sales and commissions. Many of these merchants will purchase large volumes of Clover Flexes to accommodate their operations. One merchant alone will be purchasing 28 Clover Flexes. These merchants all have the same complaint and that is that the Flex does not support commissions reporting. This would be such a simple modification and would be useful to a wide audience of merchants who pay by commissions. Here's how it can be done in two simple steps:

  17. Add drop-down option for dates: This quarter, Last quarter, This year, Last year, etc. or Q1 2021, Q2 2021, etc. so you don't have to enter custom dates all the time. Many people report quarterly or yearly.

  18. Quickbooks Integration. The Clover transaction reports should be synced with the quickbooks reports. It really messes with the numbers when you get into detail. If there is a way to make an easy hassle free sync option. All the transactions from Clover should be eligible for syncing with Quickbooks

  20. The Clover Go app inability to automatically add sales tax to manual transactions needs to be changed now. For a business that can't input repetitious items and has to manually input each sale the sales tax should be automatically calculated and added to the transaction. This is also a nightmare for a business that needs the reporting to complete sales tax returns with their respective state. Extremely disappointed with this lack of features that should be default.
