Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Restaurant Categories.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.
Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

  1. Most other POS systems offer a “pay at store” option for online ordering. I have a lot of highschool students who utilize this function and pay cash. I would like to streamline all online orders through clover, but have not switched for this specific reason.

  2. For Modifier Groups for online orders, we used to have the ability to choose a min/max for specific modifiers. Example: A combo with 3 sides. We can list all the sides, but if a customer wants to choose 2 of the same side (mac & cheese for example), there is no ability to choose 2 mac & cheese, just one of each sides. Can the quantity be adjusted to have a min/max option?

  3. When a server fires their order, rather than the computer closing the table out, but leaving the server logged in and on the dining room floor plan screen, we should be able to turn on a function that logs the server out entirely. When you have 8-10 servers running around and someone forgets to log out, it's easy for someone else to start ringing their order under another person's name. Servers often forget to lock the computer when they're done, so this issue is fairly common.

  4. We would like Owner & Admin users to be able to Delete, Hide or Unpublish POS Menus after they have been Published.

    Not being able to clean up past menus that are no longer in use will lead to staff confusion if they need to manually select a Published menu.

    We have a bar that charges $0.25 more for all drinks on Fridays & Saturdays. We duplicated the Default POS Menu & incremented all prices by $0.25 for their Friday & Saturday Daypart menus.

    On Friday, 6-13-25 the items were not showing up. We had to Duplicate our Friday and…

  5. When the user selects to send themselves an email receipt, HAVE THE DEVICE AND/OR WEBSITE SAVE THAT EMAIL ADDRESS so they don't have to type it in again.

  6. Every morning we audit tips entered in the TIPS app by the staff. This is insure that customers are not over charged by a misentry as well as any tips that maybe left unentered.

    Starting on the business day of 6/10/2025, the app was changed from (trying to work the logic backwards) being sorted by the time the transaction was started which kept sequential descending transaction numbers to a sort by the time in which the transaction was closed. This new sort throws the transaction numbers out of order. This is opposite of the workflow that has been in place…

  7. After the customer types in their email address, remember their email address so they don't have to type it in EVERY SINGLE TIME THEY VISIT. Every time I go to the same restaurant and use my exact same credit card I have to type in my email address.

  8. With the recent discontinuation of the Counter-Service Restaurant service plan, some smaller venues still need to print to a remote order printer, but do not have need for online ordering or the full features of Clover Dining as included in the Restaurant Growth plan.

  9. Allow users to remove information from the Station Duo main screen. It shows the daily sales tally and I don't want my employees to know that information.

  10. Please add the ability to add order printers and printer labels to the updated Essentials Plan. Currently we are only able to add a receipt printer on the Essentials plan. Thank you,

  11. Looking to see if Clover can create a profitability report by table for restaurants. This way, I can see which tables are less profitable than others.

  12. Currently the default option is set to condensed reporting, merchant would like an option to have it default to a full report which is not available at the moment.

  13. There no way of knowing where the payment came from if we are to investigate for whatever reason. As a merchant, it is very important to be able to locate all transaction processed. The merchant receipt should have all the detailed Information that appears on the customer's receipt, that is, order/table number and item/items sold. Both receipts used to have detailed information before we had to change our equipments because of end of service

  14. We have identified a significant issue with our Clover POS system that is causing considerable confusion among our staff. Specifically, there is currently no functionality to mark online orders as Ready for Pickup or Picked Up. As a result, all incoming orders are displayed in a single list without any indication of their status. This lack of differentiation makes it difficult for our team to manage order flow efficiently and track which orders are still being prepared versus those that have already been collected or are ready for pickup. This a must for good POS system.

  15. Make order process quicker for customers that order/pay via QR code. They currently have to enter name, phone, email, then if they select mobile wallet payment such as Apple Pay or Google Pay, they must complete the reCAPTCHA grid. This is all time consuming for a cup of coffee. Thx

  16. Merchant upgraded from the Flex 3 to Flex 4 and the employee lock screen no longer has the alphanumeric characters, only numbers. The only alphanumeric setting is for the customer-pin pad entry; however, they want it back for the employee lock screen.

  17. Clover Kiosk needs the ability to include a customer input field during the order process, allowing customers to enter either:

    A buzzer number (for merchants using pagers for pickup orders), or

    A table number (for merchants offering table tents for dine-in service).

    The field should be customizable by the merchant, with the ability to:

    Enable or disable it

    Choose the label (e.g., “Enter Buzzer Number” or “Enter Table Number”)

    Make it required or optional based on the merchant's workflow

    This would significantly improve the kiosk experience for businesses that use buzzers or table service and help streamline order fulfillment.

  18. enable Service Charge if used as auto gratuity for large parties to be part of TIP
    not part of the Service Charges so the total tip server collected can be used to calculate end-of-day server settlement with the house.

  19. In restaurants with bars, generally the server needs to tip out the bar on bar sales. We need to have a breakdown by category or revenue class available on the device. It's too cumbersome to have to go through all of the steps using the dashboard, and many shift supervisors and even managers do not have access to the web dashboard. Additionally, you want to be able to print the report and attach to server check outs to be turned in to owner or accounting or whomever. Please do this ASAP.

  20. Clover should have the options to increase the price of modifiers as well for Grubhub, Doordash and Uber menus that are integrated with Clover POS. For example all 3rd party integrations runs updates on daily basis to sync the menu which brings the price of modifiers to what is set for in store prices and costing a restaurant to not be able to cover their 25% fee from increased menu since it is getting charged at same price on Doordash etc. same as store prices if the prices of items are set with modifiers.
