  1. When programming a menu for a full service restaurant. We need Sub Modifiers!!

Lets say the Item is Spaghetti that comes with choice of soup or salad.

Right now the modifier has to read: Every kind of soup and every kind of salad option.

It would be nice if a modifier was able to be programed that said "soup" and then "salad".

Then SUB modifiers would come up. IF Salad was selected all the salad dressings would be listed in the sub modifier. If soup was selected all of the soup options would come up in the sub modifier.

  2. Using The Reorganize Modifiers master list is complicated. When each inventory item is set up, we should be able to select the specific order of modifiers for each item for an easy flow, and thus less scrolling up and down, on the clover dining app. This is important when using the Clover Flex as there is too much wasted time scrolling up and down to find pertinent modifiers. I have even tried using a numerical system to override the alphabetize system, and it doesn’t necessarily work all the time. Each inventory item has a unique flow when placing an order…

  4. Make a button on modifiers if they become unavailable like you have for the items. we have 8 dinner sides and sometimes one becomes unavailable. example we run out Cole Slaw but will have more in a few hours..... Currently we have to delete it and type it back in later

  5. If someone doesn't want a topping on a sandwich, then we'd like to be able to deduct that from the price so that they aren't paying for something they aren't getting anyhow. This isn't a standard practice pretty much anywhere but for our business we'd like to set ourselves apart by offering it.

  7. We are a brewery that sells many merchandise items, clothing, hats, sweatshirts, glassware etc. Of the items we sell: beers, cans of to-go beer, glassware, signs, growlers etc. we can add an inventory number to the item, which subtracts from the inventory when we sell that item. This works perfectly for our inventory tracking, showing the total number of the items still in inventory after each day.

For clothing items this system is not helpful or useable as it will show the number of total shirts, not what is needed, the inventory number of each different size of the shirts.…

  10. Add Extra Categories to the main category Ex:
I have a category called (Coffee Bar) I need to be able to split this category into Cold Coffee and Hot Coffee then inside this categories comes the items and it is important to be this way instead of me have to set the Cold Coffee and the Hot coffee as Items and the coffee flavors as Modifiers because in this way I will loose the capability of adding photos to the coffee flavors on the Kiosk and the capability to specify each coffee flavor with it's own modifiers. or I have…

  11. We should be able to copy/multiply modifier groups so that we don't have to create almost the same modifier groups for different items. It would save a lot of time!

  12. On the new clover kiosk, it should be an option to show the items on Kiosk instead of having to select the items to show online and to show on POS, the clover kiosk is at the business, and we would like to show our menu to our customers that are at the business.

  13. Currently modifiers don't roll up into cost of goods sold. Example: Steak dinner.

Primary selection NY steak COGS $11.

Modifiers of potato, salad, salad dressing, the cost of goods sold for these three modifier groups don't roll up into overall cost for the steak meal.

Result in higher gross margin which is inaccurate.

  14. For items that are measured per unit (such as deli meat that is pounds or ounces), there should be a way to track stock according to this unit. At least for basic units like pounds and ounces that delis, cafes, etc often use. So if merchant has 5 lbs of turkey and they sell 1.5 lbs, then stock count would be 3.5 lbs of turkey.

  15. I am having to export a menu from one restaurant location and import into another location. The Inventory import only brings in the Item name and prices etc, but all information online is is not. Online Name, Description and pictures. Although pictures may be difficult to save, but i would like to suggest adding the Online name and description to the excel Sheet on export. I just expend 3 hours moving all online information from on restaurant to another when it should be added to the export sheet. All inventory is turned off inline including modifiers. When you have big…

  16. INVENTORY NEEDS TO UPDATE THE SECOND A SERVER ORDERS AN ITEM. SO THAT THE SECOND SERVER BEHIND HIM IMMEDIATELY KNOWS THE REMAINING BALANCE OF THE INVENTORY. INSTEAD OF WAITING FOR THE BILL TO BE PAID FOR FOR INVENTORY TO UPDATE IN THE SYSTEM.

RIGHT NOW INVENTORY UPDATES ONLY AFTER THE CUSTOMER PAYS FOR THEIR BILL.

  17. Enable bulk upload of images on inventory items, instead of one image at a time. Could be very time consuming for Merchants that way.

  18. The clover inventory app should keep tracks of inventory coming in and going out. We want a separate option where employee can only add to the inventory system and cannot deduct without a verification code

  19. Let's say you have items in inventory as
    (Burger Categories)
    Hamburger $1
    Cheeseburger $1.5

    (Pizza Categories)
    Cheese Pizza $2
    Sausage Pizza $3

    (Fries Categories)
    Small Fries $0.75
    Large Fries $1.50

    (Drinks Categories)
    Coke $0.50
    Sprite $0.50

    You want to create:
Combo A (Hamburger, Small Fries and Coke) for $2 (Not combo is $2.25 total)(This is specifically set the items for the Combo)
Combo B (Cheeseburger, Large Fries and Coke) for $3 (Not combo is $3.50 total)(This is specifically set the items for the Combo)
Combo C (Select 1 from Burger Category, Select 1 from Pizza Categories, Select 1 from Drinks…

  20. Please move move the updating of inventory tracking from the time the bill is paid to when the item is fired to the kitchen. If a restaurant has 5 units and all 5 are fired to the kitchen but not paid for yet a 6th unit could be added to an order even though the item is no longer available to sell
