Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Restaurant Categories.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.
Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

Invoice: Ideas related to Clover’s Invoicing feature.

  1. With the recent discontinuation of the Counter-Service Restaurant service plan, some smaller venues still need to print to a remote order printer, but do not have need for online ordering or the full features of Clover Dining as included in the Restaurant Growth plan.

  2. The cashiers should be able to select items from catagories by looking at pictures. Not just text and color

  4. I would like the ability to update an employee name without having to delete and re-setup. I have an employee who got married and I can't update her name. I have to delete her and set her back up from scratch.

  5. Options are everything! If an employee cannot have permission to perform a refund, clover should allow a manager or admin to use their fingerprint or password to allow the refund to occur under the employees own reporting. Current whomever does the refund — it goes under their reporting. We should have the permission to make it either way. All other good POS machine perform this way. Please add this feature. You have it already for discounts.

I have had a few restaurants that have bars included in the restaurant, and they would like to be able to have customization options on printing seats and the layout of the menu as far as categories based upon whether the device is at the bar or the devices in the restaurant we need to be able to differentiate the layout of the menu from one device to the other and we also need to be able to decide whether or not we want smart tipping or tip at the device as opposed to tip on the receipt between the…

  8. Numerous clients ask for this functionality and it's becoming more and more of an ask. The ask is for menu boards on TVs/monitors to be connected to the Clover, ideally in real-time. Not only for pricing and product updates but also for current availability of items/modifiers as well. All new QSRs use menu boards...it would be great if we could have some sort of integration. TY

  9. Most other POS systems offer a “pay at store” option for online ordering. I have a lot of highschool students who utilize this function and pay cash. I would like to streamline all online orders through clover, but have not switched for this specific reason.

  10. After the customer types in their email address, remember their email address so they don't have to type it in EVERY SINGLE TIME THEY VISIT. Every time I go to the same restaurant and use my exact same credit card I have to type in my email address.

  11. Owner needs to be able to manage users and their permissions. User list should show users already created at individual locations. The permissions need to override those at the individual location. This prevents or allows individual locations to edit menus.

  12. I would like to be able to adjust each section and where it appears on the ticket. I own an elixir bar, which is like a coffee shop, and I do not want the table information on the top of the ticket; I like the customer's information on the ticket, and I would like to be able to make the customer's name bold so that it stands out.

  13. Need to be able to schedule upcoming closures for Clover Online Ordering and even in store hours. Holidays, special hours (like early closure), etc. Right now, we have to completely disable Clover Online Ordering because we have no way to schedule it to be closed just for say, Christmas.

  14. I need the ability to schedule item and price updates in Clover so changes can be prepared in advance and set to go live automatically at a future date and time. For example, if I update the pricing on bagged coffee today, I should be able to schedule that update to publish on Friday at 6:00 am when the store opens. This would prevent the need to either push updates early or wait until right before opening to make time sensitive changes.

  15. The dayparts for menu visibility on the Clover Station Duo, Clover Solo, Mini, etc. works great, however, the dayparts do not apply to the Kiosk, which seems like a weird oversight. We need the ability for the dayparts to also apply to the Kiosk menu visibility.

  16. Need the ability to take ALL open orders and transfer ALL of them to a new server. Our application is for a bar vs restaurant dinner orders. So at shift change there can be anywhere from 10-20 open orders, all of which need to be managed and moved to the new server. Presently we have to select order, transfer, select order select etc. etc. and transfer each one individually, this is very time consuming, especially during a shift change, it ties up the computer for a period of time and leaving other servers unable to add to orders and open…

  17. It would be helpful to be able to assign a different default order type to each register rather than having to choose the order type every time. For example, a drive thru register could be set to Drive Thru as a default order type to help minimize mistakes in the kitchen.

  18. Please have the Kiosk print orders at the Station Printer. Why is there an additional order printer needed? The Kiosk does not see the Station Printer as an option for Order Printing. Why is that? Can you please have the Station Printer automatically print Kiosk Orders? Without the need of an additional order printer. It really streamline our operation. Otherwise, we'd have to return the Kiosk.

  19. When you make an online order, when you check out the tip function defaults to the lowest tip amount. If the customer doesn't check none, it will default to the lowest tip amount instead of None. we need that to default to None!!!!

    Referral Code Generation:

    Each customer receives a unique referral code printed on their bill after dining.

    Sharing & Rewards:

    The customer shares the code with a friend.
