Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Restaurant Categories.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.
Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

Invoice: Ideas related to Clover’s Invoicing feature.

Kitchen Management: Ideas related to KDS, Kitchen Printers, etc.

  1. With the recent discontinuation of the Counter-Service Restaurant service plan, some smaller venues still need to print to a remote order printer, but do not have need for online ordering or the full features of Clover Dining as included in the Restaurant Growth plan.

  2. The cashiers should be able to select items from catagories by looking at pictures. Not just text and color

  3. The dayparts for menu visibility on the Clover Station Duo, Clover Solo, Mini, etc. works great, however, the dayparts do not apply to the Kiosk, which seems like a weird oversight. We need the ability for the dayparts to also apply to the Kiosk menu visibility.

  5. I would like the ability to update an employee name without having to delete and re-setup. I have an employee who got married and I can't update her name. I have to delete her and set her back up from scratch.

  6. Options are everything! If an employee cannot have permission to perform a refund, clover should allow a manager or admin to use their fingerprint or password to allow the refund to occur under the employees own reporting. Current whomever does the refund — it goes under their reporting. We should have the permission to make it either way. All other good POS machine perform this way. Please add this feature. You have it already for discounts.

I have had a few restaurants that have bars included in the restaurant, and they would like to be able to have customization options on printing seats and the layout of the menu as far as categories based upon whether the device is at the bar or the devices in the restaurant we need to be able to differentiate the layout of the menu from one device to the other and we also need to be able to decide whether or not we want smart tipping or tip at the device as opposed to tip on the receipt between the…

  9. Numerous clients ask for this functionality and it's becoming more and more of an ask. The ask is for menu boards on TVs/monitors to be connected to the Clover, ideally in real-time. Not only for pricing and product updates but also for current availability of items/modifiers as well. All new QSRs use menu boards...it would be great if we could have some sort of integration. TY

  10. Please give the Kiosk access to the labels app and/or program compatibility with an Epson TM-L90 sticky label printer. When merchants are running Clover POS with an Epson TM-L90 and want to integrate kiosks into their cafe/restaurant to expand their service volume, kiosks are not a realistic option without having similar functionalities as the Clover Mini. Competitors like Chowbus and Infi kiosks have seamless integrations with label printers, and have become favorable options for our merchants, unfortunately.

  11. Most other POS systems offer a “pay at store” option for online ordering. I have a lot of highschool students who utilize this function and pay cash. I would like to streamline all online orders through clover, but have not switched for this specific reason.

  12. Need the ability to take ALL open orders and transfer ALL of them to a new server. Our application is for a bar vs restaurant dinner orders. So at shift change there can be anywhere from 10-20 open orders, all of which need to be managed and moved to the new server. Presently we have to select order, transfer, select order select etc. etc. and transfer each one individually, this is very time consuming, especially during a shift change, it ties up the computer for a period of time and leaving other servers unable to add to orders and open…

  13. I need price roll up without having to make a new modifier for additional items. Price roll-up to combine the costs of multiple items into a single line item with a consolidated price. The primary purpose is to simplify transactions for customers by hiding complex breakdowns and presenting a clean, unified total on receipts. Example; a Burger cost 10.99 and below it says
    Bacon $1.00
    Cheese $1.00
    Onions $1.00
    Mushrooms $1.00
    Avocado $2.00.

    With Price Roll Up it will show on the receipt Burger 16.99 and below it will show
    Bacon
    Cheese
    Onions
    Mushrooms
    Avocado

  15. When commencing an oreder in the takeaway section of the dining app, i then have to add guest numbers and then hit takeaway again for order type, if not it defaults to dine in. once you have added an item it can not be amended. this step is counter intuitive as you have aleady initiated the order in take away and should not be necessary

  16. custom items do not print order docket in clover dining app. This means my orders and not made and customers do not get their order. Fix needed

  17. You can choose on "tap pay" or on "invoice print" but not on completed transaction. This make no sense. when i tap pay then the customer changes their mind i go back and change the item but the docket is already printed and the meal being prepped. Should have a print docket triggerred by on completed transaction.

  18. When you change the price of the items for the online menus (ex. for uber) it does not allow you to change the price or percentage for the modifier items.

  19. After the customer types in their email address, remember their email address so they don't have to type it in EVERY SINGLE TIME THEY VISIT. Every time I go to the same restaurant and use my exact same credit card I have to type in my email address.

  20. Please get the Clover kiosk to connect to the epson sticky label printer like all of the other clover hardware (solo, duo, mini, flex and COLO) for QSRs who want a sticky order label printed to stick on drink cups etc. It's great that the Kiosk will connect to KDS and star order and kitchen printers, but it needs to also work with the epson sticky label printer clover sells.
