Servers needing better reports to tip bartenders to separate food from bar tip amount
NEED Tips at end of day to decipher between tips for food and regular beverages and tips for bar orders..
So servers can tip bar on bar items handled "WITHOUT" giving bar tips on "Entire" food order ( food they serve should not be portion of tip that goes to bartender)
NEED simpler way at the end of the day to see breakout by employee for bar tip versus food tip portion for total tips
Ie;
Days orders came to $1,000
$200 of order was bar
$800 of order was food and beverage
Tip is 20% of the total ticket
NEED reports at the end of the day to be so employees report shows
BAR Tip Total $40
Food/Bev Tip Total $160
So that employees that carry their own bank, nobody looking at the report how much they need to tip the bartender
And how much "their" tip money is for food service
I was able to do this on my previous POS and NEED this feature available to avoid mistakes and for simplicity and even timeliness of knowing the amount of money to give to the bar for each server... At the end of each shift
Also, this ensures that the server is not being accountable for paying income tax on the tips that went to the bartender that they had to pay out..
IF tips cannot be separated out, then the bartender does not pay taxes on the portion they received in the server ends up paying taxes on the tips they GAVE to the bartender and did not earn income on
VERY IMPORTANT NECESSITY
