Item Priority on Kitchen Printer
Inventory currently has the ability to have labels and categories when sending it to an assigned kitchen printer. It would be very helpful if we could also give each item a "priority" in which it is printed on the ticket.
If a customer wanted to turn on a feature that allowed them to also give those items a priority would make things much smoother in a kitchen that only has a single kitchen printer.
For example:
Inventory items currently have the ability to be categorized. When assigned to a category, you can also assign a Priority level.
Hamburger - category is "grill" ... priority level "priority 1"
Hotdog - category is "grill"... priority level "priority 1"
French Fries - category is "sides" ... priority level "priority 3"
Tater Tots - category is "sides" ... priority level "priority 3"
Side Salad - category is "salad" ... priority level "priority 2"
When the items are entered into the POS they currently print in that order:
Burger(1)
Fries(3)
Hotdog(1)
Salad(2)
Tater Tots(3)
When adding the category they would then print like this:
Burger(1)
Hotdog(1)
Salad(2)
Fries(3)
Tater Tots(3)
Parenthesis are used to show priority level only. It would not print on the ticket!!!
