Exchange Option
This is more of a complaint/suggestion, not an idea. Our business has the gold plan - Restaurant plan, but we are not a restaurant, although we utilize a lot of the same Clover options included with this plan. We are a ******** bar/tasting room that also sells merchandise. Many times a customer will purchase an item, let's just say it's a shirt, and they come back the next day or next week because it's the wrong size. On the Restaurant plan, you cannot complete an Exchange, only a Refund. So we have to refund the guest's form of payment to get the item returned and back into inventory then re-ring them up as a totally new purchase for the new size or new item, etc. This is not the most streamlined or customer-friendly way to complete these transactions. We are going from a No Returns/Exchanges policy to a 30-day policy, making an Exchange button/option very helpful. Now, on the lower tier Retail plan, this IS an option. I am told the only way I can get the Exchange option is to downgrade my plan and pay less. This makes no sense. Clover tells me that Restaurants shouldn't be able to Exchange food. I don't disagree, but we do not sell food, nor would we Exchange it; however, we do sell merchandise that sometimes needs exchanged. Shoot, even cocktails that we serve occasionally need exchanged if it's a choice the customer isn't enjoying, etc. Please consider making the Exchange function available on the Restaurant plan. It doesn't make sense to spend less and downgrade for this added function.
