Franchisor-Level Menu Locking
Need :
Currently, each franchisee can freely modify their location's menu, including adding items that are not part of the offering approved by the franchisor. This undermines brand consistency and makes it difficult to control the offering across the network.
Requested functionality:
- Allow the franchisor to lock the master menu across all franchise locations, with:
- A central menu defined and controlled by the franchisor, pushed automatically to all locations;
- No ability for a franchisee to add, delete, or rename a locked item;
- Configurable locking at the element level (item, category, price, modifiers), so the franchisor can allow flexibility where appropriate — for example, permitting local price adjustments while prohibiting new item creation;
- The ability to apply the lock to a specific location or to the entire network;
- A change log allowing the franchisor to see any modification request or attempted change.
Benefits :
Brand and menu consistency across the network, fewer configuration errors at the location level, and stronger franchisor control over brand image and pricing structure.
