Customer Phone Number Formatting on Order Printouts
Suggestion: Improve Phone Number Formatting on Online Ordering Printouts
On Clover Online Ordering printouts, the customer’s phone number currently appears as one continuous string of digits, with no spaces or breaks.
For example:
6135551234
It would be much easier and faster to read if the number were automatically formatted into the standard three-three-four format:
613 555 1234
or:
(613) 555-1234
The three-digit area code followed by the three-digit prefix and four-digit number is how people naturally recognize and read phone numbers. This would make the information significantly easier to read at a glance, especially in a busy restaurant environment where staff need to quickly identify and use the customer’s phone number.
This seems like a relatively small formatting change that would improve the readability and usability of Clover Online Ordering printouts.
