Management Functions

Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

7. Software Plans: Here you can provide feedback on Clover’s software plans. Please specify which plan your idea is featuring (Table Service Restaurants, Counter Service Restaurants, Register, Essentials, Payments).

8. Other Management Suggestions: Place your idea here if you have feedback that does not fit in any of the other forum categories.

  2. Inventory Item - Cost Field : Would like to add Cost field back into inventory item fields options. It is now only avail via Dashboard which is not convenient.

  3. The merchant is a large retail store and at times can sell more than an 100 items.The merchant request to enter a greater quantity than 100.

  4. I will be taking orders for pickup the following day so this may cause major mis communication problems for my customers and I. The other solution is for the ability to edit the text messages guests receive after placing an order.

  5. Merchant would like to be able to export the categories with the items, their prices and their taxes, instead of the items without categories or the categories and items without item details.

  6. I would really like there to be a "sale price" field in the inventory so that we can easily put items on sale without having to change the price. It would be even better if there was also a "date range" field so that I could plan sales ahead of time.

  7. Currently, when using the the Inventory Stock Tracking & Auto Decrement, The Clover does not add returned items back into the stock quantities. This is causing inaccurate stock counts.

    Example:
    Business has 10x bottles of water currently in their inventory, and sells 1 bottle. New current Inventory is now 9 bottles of water. But if the customer returns the bottle of water, the current inventory is still 9 Bottles. The business owner will have to fix it manually, by going into the inventory app, finding the product, and update the quantity.

  8. Once an item is keyed into a category the order can't be adjusted. Likewise with Modifiers. Many Merchants prefer to organize by most popular or alphabetically but they currently only display in the order keyed.

  9. Merchant would like to be able to organize the inventory and register alphabetically; just a button that will sort it out without having to move categories and items around

  10. Merchant would like the ability to have the Clover Device decline partial payments when a card does have have the full funds. Due to fast-paced environment this has been an issue when it is over-looked.

  12. If an item cost me 100.00 i would like to be able to click a button for a 10% mark up on cost. i would also like to be able to change prices in bulk. we want to mark everything in the store at 10% over what we pay and there is no bulk pricing button i am aware of. everything is based off discounts but we ue a mark up system here

  13. When adding sizes or other variants to items with different prices for different variants, these should remain as a group instead of becoming individual items when placed under a category.

  15. We have tens of thousands of items and skus and want to use Clover Online ordering as a way of selling online because everything is intergrated. Do you forsee an update in the near future that will allow for a business to do that much volume?

  16. The ability to choose a specific Order Type for a device would be beneficial. If the device is togo only then merchant would like the receipts to have this already listed on them.

  19. Merchant would like to see an automatic organization that occurs when creating an order in the Register. If an appetizer item is listed below the entrees then merchant would like the system to move the appetizer above it. This helps to create a smooth experience when orders are rang in with more than one type of course listed.

  20. Requesting to be able to adjust or edit Orders after they have been paid. Mistakes happen where the wrong tender or item could have been selected. For instances like that, Admins should be able to make corrections when necessary, regardless if the Order is Paid or not... especially while the customer is still present and the batch is open.
