Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Reporting Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover reporting software to help merchants run their business more effectively. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in reporting functions. We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Reporting Functionality: Ideas here should explicitly focus on the practicality and usefulness of Clover’s reporting feature. Is it easy to customize filters? Is the frequency at which reports generated sufficient?

2. Reporting Tips, Taxes, and Service Charges: This category should distinctively include all feedback regarding Clover reports producing intelligence on tips, taxes, and service charges.

3. Employee Reporting: This category should distinctively include all feedback regarding Clover reports producing intelligence on employees.

  1. The merchant has various tax rates for bottle tax. In reporting he would like to be able to see the amount of items sold under a specific tax rate as well as the item names

  2. Out first shift ends at 9pm, tabs run over to our second shift. The first shift has to print out open tabs and leave them with the second shift. The second shift has to figure out who gets what when the tab is closed out. Can you make it that all open tabs get flagged when the first bartender clocks out, then when the second bartender closes out the tab, the system automatically breaks down the tip between 1st and second shift based on the percentage of the tip and who rand what amounts.

  3. Reporting - Merchant requests that reporting be upgraded to include more information. Not every sale we process is taxable. We also sell to other vendors and those items are tax free. Currently i have two reports i can pull. Revenue Item Sales and Payments. When i pull the Revenue item sales it shows the items and amounts but doesn't say if the sale was taxable or not. When i pull the Payments i can see if a specific payment was taxable but it doesn't tell me what item was sold.

  5. We need a report that will pull client data connected to sales so you can see who is our top client by sales or by category etc. This is a basic CRM report that is critical for retail

  6. What is the purpose of an INVENTORY application, if it cannot generate a report that includes all of these on one sheet? The fact that this is not already possible, begs the question "why have categories at all?" What is their use if not for inventory reports? I would very much appreciate a reply as I am seeking not only improvements in your products, but also the logic behind such seemingly odd omissions from the software capabilities.

  7. To make amount collected and deposit amount reconcilable. Deposited amount may include fees, service charges, chargebacks and reversals. This causes confusion for the merchant and they think funds are missing since all totals are not in same place.

  8. Hi,

    Just wanted to pass along some feedback I’ve received from 2 larger clients just in the last week. There seem to be some restrictions as far as server closeout when they are reviewing their transactions to confirm their tips match etc.

    Both clients asked if there was a report like what you can see in the transactions app that is printable from the device so the server/front house manager can verify everything was entered correctly. Both said it’s not feasible to have them stand at the station and take up the device while they review 35+ card transactions.

  10. Add a column to Transaction Reporting page showing the last four of the card number. You would be able to avoid clicking "Detail" to identify a transaction. This is really helpful when trying to compare batches to deposit totals on the processors end.

  14. On the Clover Dashboard Reporting, a restaurant or retail may have multiple managers for one store or location, after an item is printed and then an item is removed from an order, we need to see a report of who approved the deleted item and who is doing the most deletion items after printing or firing items. Currently it shows the employee of the order but not who approved or overriden the printed items when managers have the permission to do so.

  16. We need to be able to pull a report that shows CASH v. CARD sales and is broken down to the Inventory Line Item. We can see that this report is available in the web dashboard under "ORDERS" but it does not export to excel the Line Items data. Please implement this easy feature to make our accounting down to the line item easier! :)

  17. I need to be able to run a "tender types" report by date for a custom date range. Exactly the same functionality as the sales report, which allows for DAILY SUMMARY or TOTAL toggle, but in the tender type it only allows for the summary.

  18. Would like to see customer name, transaction amount, Reference or invoice number and last 4 of card number listed on the transaction summary report. Similar to what I had with payeezy/First Data. It was a streamlined summary of activity for a given day that was very useful.

  19. My organization is currently using 2 Clover Flex and will be purchaing 24 more devices. I have created 27 categories for the menus at our 10 service locations. Currently the ITEMS sold by CATEGORY report lists all items sold in each category on every device in use. I have multiple devices selling from the same category. We would like to be able to print ITEMS sold by CATEGORY by THIS DEVICE, directly from the Clover Flex. This will save time and paper and not require me to grant employee access to the Clover Dashboard online.

  20. It is impossible to get an accurate sales tax report or to find out where the errors are because you can't drill down on categories in the sales tax reporting, or filter by order source.
