Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Restaurant Categories.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.
Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

  1. Requesting to be able to adjust or edit Orders after they have been paid. Mistakes happen where the wrong tender or item could have been selected. For instances like that, Admins should be able to make corrections when necessary, regardless if the Order is Paid or not... especially while the customer is still present and the batch is open.

  3. I would like to have the ability to only show our Breakfast Category during our breakfast hours that are from 6am-12pm on our POS. Currently there is no way of doing it with setting a time. I can only do it manually and that is hard because I am not always here to do it. I would prefer something that would automatically do it once I make a schedule in the system. I also would like to have the ability to only show our late hour menu between the hours of 8pm-230am. This is a big inconvenience! Its hard for…

  4. When the kitchen printer goes offline there needs to be a notification that stays on the screen that requires acknowledgment from the server before closing the screen out. Also, when this happens the system should automatically print the kitchen chit on the receipt printer so the server can bring this back to the kitchen staff and let them know there is a printer failure of some sort. Currently, the system only flashes across the screen, puts a tiny little icon on the top of the screen that no one is going to see, and I have to manually redirect the…

    We've reviewed the current flow of the "Fire All" functionality in the Dining app and confirmed that it is working as designed.

    When a merchant selects "Fire All", all un-fired items are sent to the kitchen (via printer or KDS) without affecting items that have already been fired. Additionally, a "Printed" label is applied to fired items, helping to clearly distinguish between what’s been sent and what’s still pending. The Fire All button remains enabled to allow for future actions as needed.

    Currently, we display six different table statuses to assist merchants in managing operations:

    Available, Seated, Seated - Delayed, Paid, Unavailable, and Contactless Dining.

    Adding another status solely to reflect item firing status may not be ideal, as it could clutter the interface and introduce complexity without significantly enhancing clarity.

  7. Server closes the wrong table and quickly realizes the mistake. There is no way to reopen the table to my knowledge without reentering all the orders. If its a large table what a pain.

  8. Make a button on modifiers if they become unavailable like you have for the items. we have 8 dinner sides and sometimes one becomes unavailable. example we run out Cole Slaw but will have more in a few hours..... Currently we have to delete it and type it back in later

  11. In-store our clover pos allows us to select multiple identical modifiers by tapping the plus sign next to the modifier name. Example: Order of three tacos with multiple meat options where the three options can be the same or different such as three chicken tacos or 2 chicken one steak. However when a customer places an order of that same three taco entree online they aren't allowed to select multiple of the same meat choice. They are forced to select three different kind of meat.     Multiple Modifiers was released in October and enabled by default for all products supporting the use case. Please check your Online Store sites to configure this.

  13. When are you going to bring back the ability to take items offline on the register?? What is the most frustrating thing as a busy business owner is having to pull out my phone and be the ONLY one that's able to take an item offline and be able to put it back online when it's available again.     resolution can be 2k or 4k.

  15. Some clover kiosk user would like to be able to skip the self payment, and instruct customer to to payment counter. It will also be helpful if clover kiosk allow multiple payment tender, like "Cash" or "Pay at Counter"

  16. Enable indication/notification from the KDS when the items sent to the kitchen are complete and ready for pickup by the server. This can be an indicate on the order itself and the ability to configure if a server should be notified via text or if a notification can be sent to the device that sent the order to the Kitchen.

  17. Currently, customers with international phone numbers cannot pay for their order when checking out in Clover Online Ordering. This is especially frustrating when you use the Clover Dining Table QR Codes. They put in their order, get all the way to end to pay, and it stops them, and they have to repeat entire order to a person. Please support international phone numbers for Clover Online Ordering or give us the ability to NOT require phone numbers.

  18. We have identified a significant issue with our Clover POS system that is causing considerable confusion among our staff. Specifically, there is currently no functionality to mark online orders as Ready for Pickup or Picked Up. As a result, all incoming orders are displayed in a single list without any indication of their status. This lack of differentiation makes it difficult for our team to manage order flow efficiently and track which orders are still being prepared versus those that have already been collected or are ready for pickup. This a must for good POS system.

  19. As a store manager I want to be able to export a table that includes items and modifiers on the orders purchased.

    The only way to do it now is to click on receipts and to open it one by one

  20. Currently the KDS will show all orders even the ones already expedited to the customer. Example
    I put in an appetizer for the customer of an order of Bruschetta. On the KDS the kitchen will touch the screen to say its ready and it is removed. 10 minutes later I place their main course and the KDS will show the Bruschetta (with a check mark) and the rest of the order. When a kitchen is busy you are now asking the kitchen to make sure they look for a check mark. This needs to be resolved where the item does…

    Please navigate to the KDS settings under the Courses section and enable the option:

    "Switch courses on separate ticket at the time they are fired (default)."


    Enabling this setting will ensure that any items fired later for a course are printed on a separate ticket, improving order clarity and kitchen workflow.
