Make the Special Instructions Field Optional on Clover Kiosk
Please allow merchants to disable the Special Instructions field for kiosk orders.
Customers are using this field to request paid add-ons, such as “extra cheese on tacos,” without selecting and paying for the corresponding modifier. This creates an operational problem for the merchant: either the staff must collect a separate small payment, decline the request, or provide the add-on for free. If the request is missed or not fulfilled, the customer may also become upset because they believe the instructions were part of their paid order.
The Special Instructions field should be optional and configurable by the merchant. Merchants who rely on paid modifiers should be able to turn it off entirely on the Clover Kiosk.
