Suggestion: Allow Restaurants to Adjust Pickup Times for Online Orders
Clover Online Ordering currently appears to use a preset pickup time for each online order. However, during busy periods, there are times when the restaurant needs more time to prepare an order than the original estimated pickup time.
It would be very helpful if the restaurant could adjust the pickup time for an individual order after it has been received.
For example, a feature similar to Uber would be useful, where the restaurant could:
- Add additional preparation time to the order, such as +10, +15, or +30 minutes, with the customer automatically notified of the new pickup time.
- Or have a “Ready” button that notifies the customer when the order is actually ready for pickup.
This would give restaurants the ability to communicate changes in preparation time to customers in real time rather than being locked into the original estimated pickup time.
This would be especially valuable during busy periods when an unexpected rush of orders makes the preset preparation time unrealistic.
