Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Restaurant Categories.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.
Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

Hardware: Ideas related to Clover hardware in the Restaurant space

Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

  2. I have had a few restaurants that have bars included in the restaurant, and they would like to be able to have customization options on printing seats and the layout of the menu as far as categories based upon whether the device is at the bar or the devices in the restaurant we need to be able to differentiate the layout of the menu from one device to the other and we also need to be able to decide whether or not we want smart tipping or tip at the device as opposed to tip on the receipt between the…

  3. I need price roll up without having to make a new modifier for additional items. Price roll-up to combine the costs of multiple items into a single line item with a consolidated price. The primary purpose is to simplify transactions for customers by hiding complex breakdowns and presenting a clean, unified total on receipts. Example; a Burger cost 10.99 and below it says
    Bacon $1.00
    Cheese $1.00
    Onions $1.00
    Mushrooms $1.00
    Avocado $2.00.

    With Price Roll Up it will show on the receipt Burger 16.99 and below it will show
    Bacon
    Cheese
    Onions
    Mushrooms
    Avocado

  4. I would like to be able to adjust each section and where it appears on the ticket. I own an elixir bar, which is like a coffee shop, and I do not want the table information on the top of the ticket; I like the customer's information on the ticket, and I would like to be able to make the customer's name bold so that it stands out.

  5. Owner needs to be able to manage users and their permissions. User list should show users already created at individual locations. The permissions need to override those at the individual location. This prevents or allows individual locations to edit menus.

  6. The primary Multi-Location user needs full grouping and group editing capabilities. For example, 17 open MIDs under one ISO with 3 MIDs in New York, 13 MIDs in Miami and 1 MID in Orlando. The user only sees 1 group titled by the MID of the HQ account with the chain code.
    so rather than
    x1234 (17) >
    the user can edit
    (no HQ or other non-processing accounts)
    (no closed accounts)
    (no accounts from non A1 Payment Processing)
    A1 Payment Processing (17) > (changes override all changes)
    Miami (13) > (changes only affect Miami MIDs)
    New York (3) > changes…

  7. 1) Be able to submit emails to admins/managers when inventory is below a certain count on an item

    2) Allow certain items to Sync together…. For example… my client has 5 bottles of red wine, he stated about 4 glasses equals a bottle. On the menu his servers either sell by glass or sell by bottle. We want the option to be able to input 5 quantity on the bottle items but when you sell that same bottle by the glass in a different category,automatically deduct a portion of his choosing (in this case .25) on the bottle quantity category.

  8. On the printed Order Receipt/ Expo Receipt, please allow us to modify the header, so that it doesn't just say "Clover Online Shopping Pickup." We attach these receipts to customer orders, so would like to be able to put our brand name (and logo!) on the header.

  9. We have employees that are seasonal. (they are in college during the fall and spring) but work for us in the summer and on breaks.

    We would like the ability to make the employee inactive so that they are not listed when we are trying to do things like
    -filter by employee when in transactions
    -trying to move a table to another employee
    -...

    To have to delete the employee and then re-add (having to enter all their information again) them when they come back is inefficient and a pain. Whereas, if we were able to just change a field…

  11. Every morning we audit tips entered in the TIPS app by the staff. This is insure that customers are not over charged by a misentry as well as any tips that maybe left unentered.

    Starting on the business day of 6/10/2025, the app was changed from (trying to work the logic backwards) being sorted by the time the transaction was started which kept sequential descending transaction numbers to a sort by the time in which the transaction was closed. This new sort throws the transaction numbers out of order. This is opposite of the workflow that has been in place…

  12. Allow users to remove information from the Station Duo main screen. It shows the daily sales tally and I don't want my employees to know that information.

  13. The Modifiers in COLO automatically set to a specific modifier when the minimum and maximum are both 1. It would be better for the option to have a checkbox that doesn't allow the order to be added to the cart ( like what happens when there are 1min 2 max) than the circle that automatically defaults . This can cause issues especially for merchants who have Vegan/Vegetarian establishments ( the modifier defaulting to a vegetarian item on a vegan order that can easily be overlooked).

  14. Merchant upgraded from the Flex 3 to Flex 4 and the employee lock screen no longer has the alphanumeric characters, only numbers. The only alphanumeric setting is for the customer-pin pad entry; however, they want it back for the employee lock screen.

  15. Following an update about three weeks ago, the ability to add a delivery address when creating a new customer within the Order app has been removed.

    Currently, they must:

    Leave the Order app,

    Go to the Customers app,

    Manually create the customer with their address,

    Return to the Order app to link the customer to the order.

    This adds unnecessary steps during busy service hours. Please consider restoring the ability to add a customer with an address directly during order entry. This was a valuable part of the workflow and its removal is causing frustration.

  16. Device Printed COLO QR Codes are not enabled for DDD Delivery! Only the QR codes at the dashboard are enabled with DDD delivery option. Most of our merchants do not have PC's/Printers. The ability to print QR codes that work for both pick up and Delivery should be an option.

  17. Please enable promo code / discount option for customers ordering online. This is must have feature for small restaurant businesses in Canada. Upon have a discussion with your representative, this service seems not being activated in Canada.

  18. I need the option to disable the use of passcodes. At my restaurant, we operate using employee cards, which are currently only used by managers. However, I need to remove the requirement for managers to use passcodes. Additionally, we need the new Clover devices to be enabled to accept employee cards as well.

  19. Give admin access to devices and printer. Why was it removed? If there are 3 owners to a business, you expect them to share 1 main account with 2-factor logins? Not sure why Clover keeps messing things up.

  20. PLEASE put time clock back on the website dash board under Employees menu!!! It is cumbersome to find and get to. We don’t process payroll from the station at the restaurant we process it from the office. This was an inefficient change since you have to go through so many clicks and wait for so many pages to load just to click through to the time clock app you are using. Especially if you are in a remote area with poor internet service. Thank you!
