it would be great if tipping screen to be shown right after cards detected (including swiping, sensing or inserts) and before signature, not after transaction amount is entered.

I work in a retail/service brick and mortar and utilize the Clover Mini Dual Screen, and it's very awkward when I select pay by Credit Card for the customer, and it proceeds to show a tip screen giving the percentage to tip options straight away.
I would love an update where when selecting the credit card option- it proceeds to ask "Would you like to leave a tip?" with a yes or no, before proceeding to the tip screen if they select yes.
I believe this makes the interaction less awkward and lower pressure on the customer to allow them to leave us a tip!

I agree, it creates better flow for our business as well if we were to have tip after card is swiped/tapped/inserted

Clover, please address this issue. Customers are confused about the current sequence 1) tip 2) tap/insert card 3) signature EVERY DAY. We miss out on a lot of tips because of this. They try to tap/insert their card but get stuck on the tip screen. Then they often hit "skip". Most other card processors ask for the tip AFTER a card has been swiped. It would be great if you allowed for this sequence to be altered. It would be a lot more customer friendly and would help with tips. Thanks.
Yes, it's very unprofessional to hand then the device to do the tip, then hand it back to us to run the card. Then back to them for the signature. I mean paper reciepts work that way. And it is nice to give them the room vs same screen as receipt.
