Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

7. Software Plans: Here you can provide feedback on Clover’s software plans. Please specify which plan your idea is featuring (Table Service Restaurants, Counter Service Restaurants, Register, Essentials, Payments).

  1. Our biggest setback with bars/restaurant's with reception venues is the ability to keep good bar tabs. Competitive POS systems allow for a quick scan of the credit card to open and create the tab and then run the total at the end of the night in the event the customer is a flight risk to leave out on their tab. How can we make this better for those businesses?

  3. On Clover Dining, if there is an open order and the server puts in drinks/food would be great if it could turn orange after 15 minutes or start flashing if they forget to fire to the kitchen printer.

  4. Let me say, I love your technology. We recently installed 3 Clover PoS stations in our full-service restaurant and you guys knocked it out of the park.

    That being said...it is clear that those who wrote the technology have spent very little time being 'in a hurry' while working on the floor of a full service dining room. Your programs are missing a multitude of features that speed a front of house employee's job up that are common across all other platforms. (Aldelo, Micros, Aloha, Squirrel etc.)

  5. option to add a name or a description to the guest inside the clover dinning. this would be much easier than guest 1...2...3...to keep track of them.

  6. There needs to be a quick button for naming a bar tab. Using the notes function isn't an efficient use of time and time is money when you're trying to knock back a line of thirsty customers. Please Fix.

  7. Allow tables to be assigned to a "section" and allow a section to be assigned to a server.

    This would allow a Host/Hostess to easily see how many tables are occupied for a specific server. They will be able to make sure tables are spread out between servers more evenly.

  8. At the moment, it appears as though custom modifiers that staff add to an item in a fine dining restaurant are automatically shown on a customer bill when printing the customer bill. There appears to be a setting to hide them on customer receipt. However, 95% of most fine dining establishments provide their customers with a paper copy of their bill. It's very embarassing for some customers who are part of a group and if the company / CEO is paying the bill, they can see the custom modifiers that are non-priced (i.e. No dairy, lactose intolerant, etc.) for an…

  13. In the Clover Dining App, on the Bar and More tab... each tab can show the customer name, but it is valuable to also show the employee/server name here. This is valuable for bars that have multiple bar tenders, multiple bars and for called in to-go orders.

  14. Recently I cant see which server has opened a table. Neither can the server. Causing the wrong tables to closed out. Told to edit the floor plan and make the tables larger. our floor plan wont allow for us to make the tables any bigger than they already are. Tech support is blaming the latest update. Can you please fix.

  15. Please add the option for Sub-Modifiers. For example: You choose the main Item, Modifier for which side comes up, say salad is an option, that is chosen, then a Sub-Modifier for that particular choice prompts which dressing.

  16. When a menu item is out of stock, Clover Dining does not give the option to remove the ability for a server to continue ordering that item.
    Servers can still place the order causing many issues. Also, quantity on hand is not updated until an item is paid for - this does not help the issue when orders are held in the saved/orders app until a table is paid. This has caused many lost sales as we are a reseller for Clover

  18. Merchant would love an option to void an order once it has been fired to the kitchen, as they encounter issues from time to time with items in an order that need to be removed from the records

  19. The highest valued integration parameters would be:
    - Clover Dining Station ability to allow an employee at fine dining restaurant to pull a reservation from HostMe and seat them at a table in Dining application.
    - Send the data back to HostMe to show that the client was seated and showed up for their reservation and dined for X hours and minutes based on when the table is closed in Dining Station
    - Sync customer data between HostMe and Clover - 2-way if possible.

  20. It would be great to have the ability to set the "Order Type" default per device.

    For example. The Clover Station in the bar defaults to "Dine-In" while a Clover Flex is used outside for Curbside orders without having the user have to change the order type on the Non-Table Order or the Register App each time an order is done.

    This would allow flexiblity to have some Flex Units default to "Curbside" or "Special Event" if they are used for outside catering.
