Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more.   1. looking for itemized bill with order and customer info to automatically print on open cash orders both to go and delivery

  2. Merchant wanted to auto print the bill receipt when He Saves an order. Manually printing the bill takes a lot of steps and he would like it to be more simple.

  3. Both in the Register App and in Inventory. We need the ability to on screen drag and drop items in an order so that like items can be grouped together. This makes it easier for example, in a Coffee Shop, for a barrister to just shout out the hot items to a teammate while they get the cold items. Likewise, in Inventory, we have the ability to organize the order of all modifiers universally. However, often the order in which the modifiers need to pop up vary depending on the item.   4. Our sales are mainly retail electronics and each item beside the UPC and Sku at time of selling we have to add a serial number of the same UPC. A unique serial number to track warranty plans when they come back for repair.
    We do not find any field to add product serial number at the time of sale. It will be great to add a field and enable scanning the barcode of the serial number in that field.
    As a temporary solution, we are adding manually the serial number at the notes field for each transaction. But it's hard…

  5. Merchant has requested that when adding products into inventory, the screen automatically populates an online photo of the product as reference along with the UPC and Name of the product.

  7. You should really offer people to use the old version for the inventory, looking to switch out of Clover because the new version is unfortunately horrible for me to use for my business.

  8. Please consider a history or login trail to see any deleted orders.
    For the case of duplicate orders this feature is necessary to complete orders, but it an order is deleted and there was no duplicate order this needs a trail to make it searchable and maintain the owner's money trail.

  9. We need to be able to set up printer labels based on modifiers and not just items. If a restaurant sells an item like fish, chicken, and shrimp, the kitchen needs to get the order based on the modifier chosen. If the item is grilled/blackened, it needs to print to the grill, but if the item is fried, it needs to print to the fryer.

  11. Can't believe that product cost is not an option in the filter for inventory - The purpose of an inventory system is to see your inventory levels(count) and the COST . Yet there are other options that are nowhere near as critical - How this was left off is confusing .

  12. Currently order types force you to choose a default. I would like to have the option to not have a default order type so that the cashier is forced to choose, thereby minimizing errors being sent to the kitchen.

    For example, if the default is "Dine In" it's too easy for a drive thru order to get mislabeled if the cashier forgets to choose Drive Thru as an order type. This causes wasted food and/or wasted packaging.

    No need to make it complicated, just need an option to NOT have a default order type so that cashiers are forced to…

  16. We are a bakery, and we receive many call-in reservations for product orders that will be paid for at pick-up. We need a way to place the unpaid order, remove the required products from inventory so they can't be sold again, then close the order out when it is paid. Does this feature exist somewhere and we are just missing it?

  17. We are a new small business - a neighborhood grocery/bodega and a Food to Go business. We need restaurant services (on line menu, gift cards, curbside, pick-up dine in )and grocery services (Inventory, multiple categories). We buy from at least 15-20 distributors and vendors and have more than 5400 items already in the system with 15+ categories.

    The problem is when you export the inventory into an Excel spreadsheet all of the items are mixed up - on the ITEM tab. They are not sorted by category in fact they are not even alphabetized. The current Item tab does not…

  18. I manage a Retail Inventory were almost every item (over 48,000) has a Product code and/or a SKU. Please add these 2 fields to the Item Basics portion of the Add/Update screen so that we do not continually have to open sub-menus to access. You can add these after the Taxes & Fees field so that users who don't need these fields can easily ignore them.

  19. for labels, every item has the ability to be printed to a BAR printer. We need the ability to have something print dependent on what device it was entered on. For example, a drink entered by a waitress needs to print at the bar, however, that same drink entered by a bartender (that will make the drink) does not need it to be sent to the BAR printer. This would avoid confusion, and things being made twice unnecessarily

  20. Make so you can set individual permissions on the Inventory App so I can set view only for my employees.
    I have seen them over right scan codes while doing price checks.
    I realize that they could just use the register app but then we get a too many open orders.
