Management Functions

Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

7. Software Plans: Here you can provide feedback on Clover’s software plans. Please specify which plan your idea is featuring (Table Service Restaurants, Counter Service Restaurants, Register, Essentials, Payments).

8. Other Management Suggestions: Place your idea here if you have feedback that does not fit in any of the other forum categories.

  1. There should be an “Order Type” option for online orders to “Pickup at Drive Thru Window”. Customers ordering for pickup at the window are confused with the limited options because they don’t want “in-store” or “curb-side” pickup which are the only options available now.

  2. I do not see the need to print Server Name ( Owner’s name) on order receipt + date / time stamp for Online Orders ( both Ordering.app & Clover Ordering). Those information alone take 4” of receipt space.
    Can someone look into this?

  3. I LOVE that we have the ability to attach images of items to clover inventory for online ordering now... however the minimum size requirement for the images is set to 1600 x 1200 pixels which seems way too large for a minimum requirement. I'm assuming this was a mistake and just wanted to point it out for adjustment.

  4. When making online orders (as a customer), order items get saved to the history. But the order changes. An example - from a local taqueria:
    - Bean and cheese burrito
    - Add guacamole
    - No salsa fresca
    - Bean and rice burrito
    - Add guacamole
    - No salsa fresca
    - Carne Asada Burrito
    - Add guacamole

    becomes

    • Bean and cheese burrito
    • Add guacamole x3
    • No salsa fresca x2
    • Bean and rice burrito
    • Carne asada burrito

    This makes it impossible to simply reorder. It would be helpful if the items stayed the way they were ordered. (I do appreciate them being…

  5. I process for a growing franchise called Outer Banks Boil Company. We need the ability to INTEGRATE into a WIX website where a customer has the option to "purchase" an item with the option to pay in-store, and leave a tip online. This new integration with WIX should allow complete branding including customization with logos etc, ability to purchase online and the order is received and printed in-store by a Clover POS.

  6. In the orders app you can view all orders open or closed. When you click on an order you have a couple of options you can do. You can add a payment, re-open the order, combine the order with another one, etc.

    It would be an excellent feature if we could DUPLICATE AN ORDER here as well. For example, some of my merchants will have huge orders that get placed on a monthly basis so it would be nice if they can pull up the customers previous order and simply duplicate it so they dont have re enter the order…

  7. Can you please allow us to set online service hours for any time, i.e. 11:59 pm, since the system will not accept 12:00am or beyond because it is on a different day. It would be convenient to be able to change the day, i.e. operating from Wednesday 9:00 pm to Thursday 1:30 am.

  8. COVID changed our lives.
    Clover it's a request to add the following features to help us survive.
    1. Ability to modify or add prep time while confirming the order
    2. Text communication with customer regarding accepting and order ready for pick up
    3. Direct partnership for delivery with Doordash or Uber
    4. Use Uber for reference their system is very good, don't need delivery tracking.
    5. Online pool max for not accepting more than what we can handle.

  9. Merchant is requesting the old update for clover dining because the employees are ot seeing their name on the tables , when merchant make the table bigger we can see the employee name but because merchant have a big restaurant and a lot of tables we are not able to keep all the tables at a big size .
    please allow the employee name to show on smaller table sizes like it use to

  10. The Station Pro and Online Ordering are great... but we need to have store staff able to enter phone orders for DELIVERIES in the online order system ... not just pickup or curbside...

  11. Clover Customer App tether to the Clover POS while on same network as the restaurant. Ability for customer to place an order at their table from their phone and show up at the bar or counter POS and show what table they are at. Then cash out on the App.

  12. Looking for when you put in an address it will tell you if it is within your delivery range.

    ex: If I use a 3 mile radius, and you call and you are 4.5 miles away, then I ca have the option to override and bring you a delivery or just say no.

    ex: Ability to draw on a map ( like google map) where a delivery range is, and if the address inputted is outside of it we won't deliver.

    reason: not everyone knows geography around and want to eliminate having to drive "to far" for a delivery.

  13. Square ingrates with Go Daddy, Clover should have the online store renovated and brought back for retail clients. Simplify the online webstore experience. Third party apps don't have good reviews.

  14. Merchant would like Longer preparation time for Clover online orders
    the merchant do catering and most customers order catering ahead of time. Some time 2 days in advance or longer.

  17. We are only opening for CURBSIDE PICKUP but Clover does not have the ability to remove the "In-store Pickup" option. Confusing and misleading to customers. Also, customers don't get the curbside order instructions so they don't know what to do upon arrival.

  18. When using the scheduled order feature, create a threshold with an extra prep time buffer or alert for larger orders. Concern is that with the order ahead functionality, restaurant may not see the large order in advance to adequately prepare and/or disrupt the day's production line.

  19. Have a setting on the Clover online order to assign items/category availability.
    For example breakfast sandwich or all items listed breakfast category can only be ordered from 7:00 AM-10:00AM
    Cheeseburger is only available to be order online from 11:00 AM-3:00 PM.
