Management Functions

Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

7. Software Plans: Here you can provide feedback on Clover’s software plans. Please specify which plan your idea is featuring (Table Service Restaurants, Counter Service Restaurants, Register, Essentials, Payments).

8. Other Management Suggestions: Place your idea here if you have feedback that does not fit in any of the other forum categories.

  4. Client would like to be able to have the option to modify a separate Order receipt for online ordering. E.G: would be to be able to remove stuff like the customers email on the Colo receipt and only keep the necessary stuff to make the order like the name of the customer and where it's going to be sent, and maybe the phone # of the customer they would also like to make the receipt smaller only for online orders, they would also like to make only the date smaller on the receipt to save paper

  6. Allow a large party order to be put in together, but sent separately. For example, on a 20 top, take all the orders, but send them 4 items at a time on 5 tickets. This will ensure the large tables order will fire at the same time, but not on one long ticket.

  7. Merchant would like to be able to add and change the quick access by for Clover Dining. He would like to have an option for order notes here as well.

  11. Merchant is requesting clover creates their own platform for ecommerce to better produce SKU numbers for inventory.

  12. Merchant would the ability to edit notes on Paid order. The reason is for reconciliation purposes. If the wrong Order Type is chosen, merchant needs a way to go back and leave a note stating the correct type.

  13. Servers are forgetting to put their drinks on their table's ticket. If an order is assigned to an actual table, not a to-go order, it would be awesome to not allow for the bill to print until they are added. To throw an error reminding the server.

  15. Many customers choose not to use paper copy of the receipt after the purchase. Can you, at least, give the customers chances, who choose not to print customer copy, to get rewards code from their text/email receipt.

  19. There needs to be a way for the us to access invoices via the POS and mark paid when the customer comes in to pick up the order. Which would allow us to mark the orders paid without deleting the order and having to input everything again at the register. We also need to be able to itemize the invoice for our customer. I know that you can from Square and QuickBooks.

  20. Needs real running timer showing from the table layout for an efficient operation. There are many AYCE restaurants with time limits, currently Clover Dinning app only indicates tables in red at certain preset time and servers need to click each table to check the actual running time or they need to login to web dashboard to check entire tables timer at once. Thank you.
