Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Reporting Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover reporting software to help merchants run their business more effectively. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in reporting functions. We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Reporting Functionality: Ideas here should explicitly focus on the practicality and usefulness of Clover’s reporting feature. Is it easy to customize filters? Is the frequency at which reports generated sufficient?

2. Reporting Tips, Taxes, and Service Charges: This category should distinctively include all feedback regarding Clover reports producing intelligence on tips, taxes, and service charges.

3. Employee Reporting: This category should distinctively include all feedback regarding Clover reports producing intelligence on employees.

4. Inventory/Order/Customer/Sales Reporting: This category should distinctively include all feedback regarding Clover reports producing intelligence on inventory, orders and customers. This also includes reporting on sales/revenue.

  1. Merchant requesting development of a report that shows how an item was approved to be deleted from the system (Employee Card, Passcode, Fingerprint) when using a Manager/admin to delete an item for a role that doesn't have permission to Delete an item from an order.

  2. What is the purpose of an INVENTORY application, if it cannot generate a report that includes all of these on one sheet? The fact that this is not already possible, begs the question "why have categories at all?" What is their use if not for inventory reports? I would very much appreciate a reply as I am seeking not only improvements in your products, but also the logic behind such seemingly odd omissions from the software capabilities.

  3. Merchants need to be able to see the taxes collected when a customer pays with a gift card.
    As of right now the merchant will see it as a total purchase. They need visibility of what portion of the sale was taxes. Merchants use these reports for book keeping and to assist with tax filing.
    Merchants are looking to have all Gift Card reporting combined with Clover reporting so they can use one report for reconciliation and tax reporting

  5. To make amount collected and deposit amount reconcilable. Deposited amount may include fees, service charges, chargebacks and reversals. This causes confusion for the merchant and they think funds are missing since all totals are not in same place.

  6. it would be great if Clover could total the number of visits a customer makes to the business. I know it shows past orders. But it'd be nice if you could total the number of visits and the dollar spend

  8. Please enhance the reporting application to offer much more detail reporting, such as a breakdown of splitting service charges so they know exactly what to pay out their employees without having to calculate it themselves.
    Also many merchants really like all of the reporting capabilities other point of sales systems have that clover does not have.

    Reporting is crucial for businesses and for dine in restaurants they are used to having certain reports that Clover does not have.

  10. Hi,

    Just wanted to pass along some feedback I’ve received from 2 larger clients just in the last week. There seem to be some restrictions as far as server closeout when they are reviewing their transactions to confirm their tips match etc.

    Both clients asked if there was a report like what you can see in the transactions app that is printable from the device so the server/front house manager can verify everything was entered correctly. Both said it’s not feasible to have them stand at the station and take up the device while they review 35+ card transactions.

  16. In order to report the information we need (sales separated by sales tax rate and tender), we have to pull two separate reports and manually combine them. We would much prefer having the option to customize reports based on the information we need. Reports need much more customization in the data that can be reported and filtered and how reports are built. Being able to combine and report information from payments, inventory, and orders would go a long way towards streamlining the Clover report process.

  18. I had an employee who was clocked in for 10 days. They clocked in on their 1st shift and then never clocked out. They worked a total of 3 shifts in that timespan. I went in to run the report for payroll and found she was currently clocked in. On the dashboard there is only a way to edit existing punches. There is no way to close her shift, or add a clock-out punch then edit it. A function to split the shift would have helped also

    Another work around would be to add an option to set a shift…

  20. Reporting..i suggest having clients pick the ability to set defaults for items or categories they are wanting to see everyday. Right now customers have to go in a un select the items they do not want to see on their reporting each day. its a 5 min process each day they run a report by unselecting items.
