Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Reporting Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover reporting software to help merchants run their business more effectively. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in reporting functions. We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Reporting Functionality: Ideas here should explicitly focus on the practicality and usefulness of Clover’s reporting feature. Is it easy to customize filters? Is the frequency at which reports generated sufficient?

2. Reporting Tips, Taxes, and Service Charges: This category should distinctively include all feedback regarding Clover reports producing intelligence on tips, taxes, and service charges.

3. Employee Reporting: This category should distinctively include all feedback regarding Clover reports producing intelligence on employees.

  1. Need to know how to get a report of my inventory that includes the categories of the items which could be sorted by category to give total value of inventory by category.

    Currently there is an option to export inventory and it contains lots of useful information, but the column for 'Category' is non-existent in the export.

    Business owners / Managers need the ability to track inventory value by category (For example, Beer/Wine, Liquor, General Merchandise, Tobacco, etc.) for tax purposes and other reasons.

  2. SALES OVERVIEW report BY EMPLOYEE ON DEVICE.
    Merchant has 2 shifts in bar. Would like to have a sales overview report that staff can access from Device to turn in with their paperwork and money at the end of each shift. The report should give a TOTAL that is due. Cash less tips. This is a BASIC restaurant function and one that we can not believe we can not get!!!! Giving all employees access to the dashboard is ridiculous and should not be necessary!!! I believe you should implement this immediately. This will help the sales of this device to…

  3. How do I get a detailed list report of all item sales? I would like to get a detailed list report showing line by line the item, item category, sale date, sale day of week, sale price, tax, tip, payment type, etc.

    This way I could slice and dice the data anyway I want in excel

  4. When accessing the items report via the dashboard, the merchant would like the data to show the items sold per category per employee. Upon review this is only possible if employees are filtered individually, which the merchant would like to avoid as it can be very time consuming

  5. Merchant is looking to be able to pull a report with all sales in the morning shift and another report for the night report without having to everyday to change the time range or custom date range just to pull a morning and night shift with total sales .

  6. The option to export a .csv of the inventory and sales report is an incredible feature of Clover. One additional boost that would perfect this feature would be an option to schedule an automatic export at a specific time to be sent to an email address.

  7. Why does clover take so much time to provide me a sales report? I have to use a third party application to do that. That is unacceptable.

  8. Reporting..i suggest having clients pick the ability to set defaults for items or categories they are wanting to see everyday. Right now customers have to go in a un select the items they do not want to see on their reporting each day. its a 5 min process each day they run a report by unselecting items.

  9. For the Items Reporting-Merchant is requesting the feature to track the last customers he sold an specific Item and to add the order number to the Items report so he can go directly to the transaction for that Item

  13. Clover needs the ability to imitate negative tender transactions via the Register, including the purchase of merchandise from sellers, and payouts to vendors or lottery winners.

    Numerous retailers buy merchandise from consumers and resell this merchandise in their stores. Convenience stores make payouts in lottery states.

    Existing 3rd party solutions for negative tender and payouts are unsatisfactory. Retail merchants need effective functionality, ease of adding used items to inventory, and simple reporting on these activities.

  14. items are showing in one category report and not in all categories. if merchant uses the item for multiple categories merchant wants to show the items and all categories

  17. Under dashboard when you go to shifts reporting it shows each employees hours in hours and minutes (1-60 minutes) When we export the shifts report to print it, the minutes change to 1-100 and we have to calculate the amount of minutes for each employee on each shift for each day. We are an establishment of over 75 employees. Its a lot of extra work.

  19. I had an employee who was clocked in for 10 days. They clocked in on their 1st shift and then never clocked out. They worked a total of 3 shifts in that timespan. I went in to run the report for payroll and found she was currently clocked in. On the dashboard there is only a way to edit existing punches. There is no way to close her shift, or add a clock-out punch then edit it. A function to split the shift would have helped also

    Another work around would be to add an option to set a shift…
