Discounts Applying to Certain Revenue Class
Would like the option for discounts to apply only to particular revenue class. IE, we have a $20 food credit option but there is no way to apply it to the bill without it also discounting beverages/liquor

We need to be able to offer quantity discounts and for them to be automatically applied.
I have a donut shop and offer a $1.50 discount when customers purchase 6 donuts and a $3.50 discount when they buy 12. Wen they buy 18, they get $5.00 off ($3.50+$1.50), when they buy 24 they get $7off ($3.50+$3.50), they buy 30 they get $8.50 ($3.50+$3.50+$1.50) and so on.
Right now the only way I can apply the discount is by setting up a $1.50 and $3.50 discount and manually applying them to each sale which adds quite a few steps to the…

Tax before discount
I have a business that uses manufacturer coupons to discount items. I need the ability to charge sales tax on the price before discounts.
Exp:
$100 item 9% sales tax $5 coupon.
Before coupon sales tax is $9.00. After coupon sales tax drops to $8.55. Because it is a manufacturer coupon we need to charge sales tax on $100 not $95

Link a Created Discount to a Revenue Label
Merchant wants to have a rule or formula for discounts.
Discount A types is only allowed for food.
Discount B types is only allowed for Beverage.Discount C types are discounts open to for every item.
As an example now with clover a happy hour discount let’s a manager to freely add a discount to a food which should be a discount for a beverage not food. The owner doesn’t want managers to freely add any discount only to the discounts approved to items attached.

Calculate discount to exact penny
When a merchant adds a discount and it is for a large amount of line item like 90 @ $7.99 each the discount is rounded up or down to nearest $.50. The discount calculation should be for the exact discount amount. It creates problems with returns and for reconciling within Quickbooks.

18% server charge
When the 18% gratuity service charger is added to the tables we have been running into a problem that involves table discounts. When we add a discount to the table ex: free dessert, employee discount, - it recalculates the 18% server charge when in fact it should be 18% on the whole ticket before the discount and taxes.. What is a way to fix this?

Customize Register for Discount shortcut
Merchants are requesting the ability to modify the Register app so that Discounts and Additional Charges can be shown on the screen automatically rather than accessed through the menus. Merchants frequently apply discounts and need faster access

Employee discount set at item cost
It would be nice for an option for an "employee discount" button in the discounts menu that will put all items at "item cost" for employees instead of us having to ring each item individually.

Will be nice for restaurants if they can discount items by labels instead of one by one or the entire order
For example, a restaurant has an order but wants to discount the food 15% but no the drinks. The only way to do it currently is going food item by food item and discount them and not the drinks!!

Common Retail Discounts
Native functionality to support the typical discounts retailers use, such as: (1) Buy One, Get One for x % off; (2) Bundled discounts; (3) Spend X discounts; (4) Quantity Discounts
Retailers frequently offer promotional discounts to encourage upselling, promotion of new products, and to clear out old inventory. This is so common within the industry that Clover needs a much better solution to effectively serve retail merchants.
Zaytech offers an app with some of this functionality, but it is buggy and doesn't work with variants

One discount per order
Ability to apply only one discount per order. Currently, Clover devices allow for employees/managers/admin to apply multiple discounts to the same order. There should also be a permission setting that allows business to select the roles that may apply multiple discounts.

Create the ability to limit discounts in a order/item
Clover has the ability to restrict discounts from being applied in terms of an employee level but there are no restrictions on the number of discounts one can apply to an entire order/ item.
For example, I can apply x discount as many times as I want on a order although the discount should be valid for 1-time/per order use only.
https://www.clover.com/cos/v1/r/EBVMQNC7AR886
In the ticket above the employee was able to apply 4 discounts when it should have been limited to 1 per order.

ALLOW DISCOUNTS WITH DECIMAL FOR TAX FREE WEEKEND
Tax free week is coming up and only certain items in inventory are classified as being tax free. We have tens of thousands of items in inventory so instead of doing two separate order which is a huge pain in the butt when busy, it'd be much easier if Discounts allowed us to create a discount with a decimal (7.5%) because that is Duval County, FL tax. Please advise.

discounts on multiple items for convenience stores
need an option to discount when purchasing multiple items. for example, circle K offers a single gatorade at $1.79. however, if the customer purchases 2 gatorades, the system knows that if they purchase 2 gatorades it will charge a total of $2.50 total for both. this is the same for tons of items within the store. the barcode scanner needs to be able to distinguish which items receive a discount without extra steps. i have lost 2 merchants to Square because they offer this and we do not. really need a solution to compete with C-Stores

Re-arrange discount buttons
Would be really helpful to be able to re-arrange the discount buttons so that those most frequently used are at the top of the screen. As it is now, you have to scroll down making it very easy to hit the wrong button and ultimately use the wrong discount. Please fix!
