Management Functions

Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

7. Software Plans: Here you can provide feedback on Clover’s software plans. Please specify which plan your idea is featuring (Table Service Restaurants, Counter Service Restaurants, Register, Essentials, Payments).

8. Other Management Suggestions: Place your idea here if you have feedback that does not fit in any of the other forum categories.

  1. We have been offering To Go orders only since mid-March. In Ohio you charge

    tax of 8% on food and beverage when servicing in-house but no tax for food

    to go. We are allow to sell alcohol to go, which we need to charge tax of

    8%.

    We are currently using RESTAURANTOPS to manage the online ordering. They

    allow us to either use default tax or no tax - the no tax option works in

    Restaurantantops but not in Clover. To make it work for Clover, where no

    tax is charged for food but tax is charged for liquor and…

  2. Currently, if a customer goes to Clover online ordering and cancels the order, the $0.00 order ticket will stuck in the order app and cannot be deleted, which is cluttering the list. Please add an option to delete or archive these cancelled orders from the orders app.

  3. As far as I can tell, you can only set online ordering based on the day of the week, and not close for specific days. This is a problem when you allow orders to be scheduled for future dates, but will not be open for specific days.

  4. There is no way currently for a merchant using Clover Online Ordering to change the order that the menu categories show in. It would be great to be able to drag and drop these to change the "Layout" in the Online Ordering setting pages... just like it can be done within the inventory app for the category layout shown on the Register/Clover Dining screen.

  5. We are a Restaurant and we offer our customer discounts when they order online thru our website (instead Skip or Uber). But there is no option on Clover online ordering where we can do such. With our current online ordering platform we could issue a Coupon code and Customers could use that Code at checkout. Also that code will only work if customer spend more that X amount.

  10. Looking for when you put in an address it will tell you if it is within your delivery range.

    ex: If I use a 3 mile radius, and you call and you are 4.5 miles away, then I ca have the option to override and bring you a delivery or just say no.

    ex: Ability to draw on a map ( like google map) where a delivery range is, and if the address inputted is outside of it we won't deliver.

    reason: not everyone knows geography around and want to eliminate having to drive "to far" for a delivery.

  12. COLO - merchant operates from 11:30pm to 3:30am, COLO doesnt allow the merchant to set the end time for 3:30am, a message appears saying
    "End time cannot be earlier than start time", can something be implemented where merchants have total control of the operational hours at this time changing the hours for the time frame could be the a workaround but that creating an extra tasks for the merchant at the end of the day

  14. Merchant would like to be able to change the colors on the business logo that appears on the Clover Online Ordering. At this time all logos for Clover Online Ordering show as grey.

  16. Merchant would like to request an enhancement for the Clover Online Ordering App so that the clients can select multiple modifiers when choosing their sides. I provided the workaround for adding them as items for the COLO only for the mean time.

  19. Hi,
    In the clover Online Ordering System below Options are not there and I think they will help
    1. Search Bar - To check the Menu Item.
    2. Pay @ Store - If the customers wanted to pay @ Store.
    3. Pay by Cash @ Store - If the customers wanted to pay by Cash @ Store.

    Pls check the above options which will help customers to a great extent.

  20. Clover app says there is an option to order ahead, but it will not allow ordering ahead outside of hours of operation, which is the whole point of ordering ahead to schedule order for pickup during open hours. However, accessing the online store through a web browser does have the appropriate/expected functionality at all times allowing scheduling of orders for future days/times. This is very confusing to my customers losing functionality when using the app vs. the web browser. The app needs to allow the same functionality for ordering ahead that is offered in the browser.
