Management Functions

Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

7. Software Plans: Here you can provide feedback on Clover’s software plans. Please specify which plan your idea is featuring (Table Service Restaurants, Counter Service Restaurants, Register, Essentials, Payments).

8. Other Management Suggestions: Place your idea here if you have feedback that does not fit in any of the other forum categories.

  1. When an online order comes in ..... the clover device should PING loudly and have a pop up come saying "Order Arrived"
    We expect our staff to do other tasks during their down time so they aren't always right beside the clover unit to see the order print off.

  2. We are only opening for CURBSIDE PICKUP but Clover does not have the ability to remove the "In-store Pickup" option. Confusing and misleading to customers. Also, customers don't get the curbside order instructions so they don't know what to do upon arrival.

  4. Merchant requested to edit the time frame/wait time provided to customers for an order made through COLO, advised that by default provides a prompt of 40mins to be prepared, he said that won't work for his location as he has to many customers and sometimes need an hour depending on the amount of orders and customers in queue.

  5. Allow alcohol to be sold online where it is legal to do so. I am in Dallas, TX and it is legal to order alcohol online for pick up.

  8. For online orders, enable pay at the store. In recent days, many of our merchants facing a lot of chargeback issues. money deduction from the bank. If we enabled the pay at store option, client will handle the payments directly. they have strong docs to submit if any disputes are raised.
    it will reduce the merchant's disputes on online fraudulent

  9. Within the order online it would be helpful to be able to adjust the times items are available. We have a lunch special that goes until 3:00 but we don't want people to order it at dinner so I've had to remove the lunch menu from the online menu.

  11. Every item in Inventory should have a simple checkbox to specify whether it is available for online ordering or not. Not all items in inventory are necessarily available for online ordering so there should be an option to include or exclude them from the online menu.

  12. Please give an option to update the logo on the online ordering above the business information.

    That makes things easy for the customers to find the right restaurant they are irdering

  13. Merchant wants to be able to have a QR code for the customers to be able to order and pay there without asking all the info that it requires, as in phone number and the captcha security.

  14. We have a lengthy list of offerings, and average customers will need to scroll a lot to find the items they may want. It would be great if it lets us just present only the list of Categories first, and then, items under the selected categories for easier browsing.

  15. Hi, we are using clover online ordering app. Right now, there is not any functionality where we can click once order is ready to notify customer. You guys are already using similar kind of functionality to text customer receipt. Just put another button where it should say your order is ready. Thanks.

  16. Can we setup a delivery option for online ordering that DOES NOT contract through doordash?

    Restaurants that have their own delivery staff don't have the option for online ordering to do it themselves...its forcing them to use doordash. Thanks

  18. I do not see the need to print Server Name ( Owner’s name) on order receipt + date / time stamp for Online Orders ( both Ordering.app & Clover Ordering). Those information alone take 4” of receipt space.
    Can someone look into this?

  19. So I just ordered food using this app and NOWHERE says when it's going to be ready. No idea if it'll be 10 mins or 30. That's a really important feature IMO. I had to call the restaurant and ask them when my food will be ready, which is inconvenient.

  20. Request to add quantity amounts to every order put in, as well as, the ability to create/customize orders. his shop sells donuts and he wants the customer to be able to 'build' the donuts (base, toppings, &icing)
    merchant is also wanting to add pictures to online ordering
