Management Functions

Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

7. Software Plans: Here you can provide feedback on Clover’s software plans. Please specify which plan your idea is featuring (Table Service Restaurants, Counter Service Restaurants, Register, Essentials, Payments).

  2. There should be an “Order Type” option for online orders to “Pickup at Drive Thru Window”. Customers ordering for pickup at the window are confused with the limited options because they don’t want “in-store” or “curb-side” pickup which are the only options available now.

  3. I LOVE that we have the ability to attach images of items to clover inventory for online ordering now... however the minimum size requirement for the images is set to 1600 x 1200 pixels which seems way too large for a minimum requirement. I'm assuming this was a mistake and just wanted to point it out for adjustment.

  4. As a 3rd party developer, I want to control the time and date when a scheduled order reaches as a notification to the clover device and manage printing the order receipt to the kitchen at a given time so that the scheduled order is served

  5. What happened? Shutting off Online Ordering from a Clover device went away with no notification. Now it has to be done from the dashboard.
    Not all Business owners are onsite and most don't want their staff to have access to the dashboard. This ability needs to be returned to the setup app.
    When important changes are made without notification to the Sales Team it impacts our credibility and is down right disrespectfull to the BC.

  6. Client would like to be able to have the option to modify a separate Order receipt for online ordering. E.G: would be to be able to remove stuff like the customers email on the Colo receipt and only keep the necessary stuff to make the order like the name of the customer and where it's going to be sent, and maybe the phone # of the customer they would also like to make the receipt smaller only for online orders, they would also like to make only the date smaller on the receipt to save paper

  8. Merchant is requesting clover creates their own platform for ecommerce to better produce SKU numbers for inventory.

  10. Merchants should be able to set a specific time or days for the items to be shown on the online menu.

    EX: when they are creating the item the system should ask them which days and time you would like the items to show on the online menu and the option to change if the merchant would like to.

  11. Until around mid-April 2024, it was possible to view a tips breakdown in the Employee Sales report on the Clover POS devices. The total tip amount for each employee was broken down into "DoorDash Dasher tips" and "Employee tips". "DoorDash Dasher tips" are tips left by customers for online orders delivered through DoorDash Drive, while "Employee tips" are tips actually received by the employee for dine-in orders. It is no longer possible to view this information on the Clover device itself, and accessing the Dashboard is now the only way to view the tips breakdown. I am not sure why…

  12. Customers click onto our website will see our logo & branding, then to order > click onto "Order Online" that directs to Clover platform which immediately turns into green. There is no customisation for us other than adding our own logo. We should be able to customise our own brand colour on those banners. It should NOT be difficult to fix. Not Clover green. Clover shouldn't be promoting itself at our cost!!!!

  13. Currently, customers with international phone numbers cannot pay for their order when checking out in Clover Online Ordering. This is especially frustrating when you use the Clover Dining Table QR Codes. They put in their order, get all the way to end to pay, and it stops them, and they have to repeat entire order to a person. Please support international phone numbers for Clover Online Ordering or give us the ability to NOT require phone numbers.

  14. Please fix online ordering. The text bleeds out of the text container.

    For items with long descriptions the text bleeds outside the box and looks really bad. Multiple accounts all with the same issues.

  17. From the Clover online order platform, when items added to cart and check out them, there are picking up time option which says 'For When?' and 2 scroll down options which are 'ASAP (in 20 mins)' and 'Schedule an order'.

    I want to keep only 'Schedule and order' one. My business don't take same day order so I don't want customer select 'ASAP (in 20 mins)' option so I want to remove this option so people don't select it.

    But when I talk a customer service staff, he said removing the 'ASAP' options is not possible and I just don't…

  18. From the register icon, if you choose delivery the prompt for address and telephone number should automatically pop up. There is never a time that you will choose delivery and not need the address. For restaurants that have younger employees-if they forget to ask for address information it creates big problems to retrieve that information.

  19. Our POS Clover is integrated with GrubHub & Doordash. Any menu updates we do gets instantly updated in Doordash but it takes several hours to update in GrubHub system. This creates confusion among Customers on seeing different menu in different online ordering services. Also in the case of removing an item during business hours, customer can still select that item and place an order from GrubHub, but the order end up getting canceled because in POS the item is removed but GrubHub it is still showing up.   20. Clover online ordering does not work on:
    MacOS Venture 13.5.1
    Chrome Version 116.0.5845.140 (Official Build) (x86_64)

    It allows the user to add items to the cart, but the cart will not open and there is no way to complete the order. As a work around, I can open Safari and re-enter my entire order. This has been a problem for at least a year.
