Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

7. Software Plans: Here you can provide feedback on Clover’s software plans. Please specify which plan your idea is featuring (Table Service Restaurants, Counter Service Restaurants, Register, Essentials, Payments).

8. Other Management Suggestions: Place your idea here if you have feedback that does not fit in any of the other forum categories.

  1. A print button in the Transactions app would be nice for merchants who need a print-out of each transaction in order of time.

  2. Putting an update in on a weekend that doesn't work totally disrupts the busiest days of the week. Also - put out an email to all users describing the update features and when it will be applied.

  3. Add the ability to do a manual Closeout of a batch via Clover.com/Virtual Terminal.

    Use Case:
    Business is set up for manual closeout only (a business requirement).

    Business is open 4 days a week.
    During closed days sometimes we need to do transactions (refunds, over the phone payments, etc.)
    We can't physically go to the business to do the closeout at the register, so these transactions can't be settled the same day.
    Adding this feature would allow for better management of these transactions and a better customer experience for refunds.

  4. I can't have my accountants contacting me for code to access every time they need to access my clover. Please fix this, it's a huge issue for customers who have more than one person accessing our accounts on-line!

  5. Would we be able to have the table number question mandatory for our clients when paying with a QR code. Or, could we have different QR codes that would represent a different table number. Feel free to call me to discuss. (removed phone number from the idea for privacy purposes)

  6. I need to know which customer is making a payment when they use my URL link from my website to make a payment on their account. This feature does not email me any notification so i do not know that a customer has made a payment

  7. We had several requests for merchant improvement concerning the virtual terminal. Here are some improvements to be made or corrected.

    Virtual Terminal
    1. In "Take a payment", it is only possible to choose a single tax. However, there are several provinces which have 2 taxes (Quebec and others). It would be necessary to be able to select the 2 taxes. Yes it is possible to create a general tax, but it distorts their tax report afterwards.

    1. If we use "Invoicing" to send an invoice to pay, it is no longer possible to delete it later.

  8. The addition and management of items with variants is only available on the devices such as the Flex. I wish that item variants were also available on the dashboard and by export/import from a spreadsheet.

  9. Currently there is no way to filter by payments made through the Virtual Terminal in the Clover Dashboard. Existing workaround is to export transactions to csv file and sort by keyed transaction. Merchant would like an easier solution for filtering Virtual Terminal transactions, similar to what exists for device filtering.

  10. Let me say, I love your technology. We recently installed 3 Clover PoS stations in our full-service restaurant and you guys knocked it out of the park.

    That being said...it is clear that those who wrote the technology have spent very little time being 'in a hurry' while working on the floor of a full service dining room. Your programs are missing a multitude of features that speed a front of house employee's job up that are common across all other platforms. (Aldelo, Micros, Aloha, Squirrel etc.)

  12. Within the order online it would be helpful to be able to adjust the times items are available. We have a lunch special that goes until 3:00 but we don't want people to order it at dinner so I've had to remove the lunch menu from the online menu.

    We believe the ability to have multiple menus available for your online ordering options will solve your need.  We are currently rolling out this feature to all eligible merchants and expect to have it fully rolled out before the end of Q1 2024.

  13. Would like to be able to start tables/tabs for customers and have customers able to order additional items with the QR code to their tab without having to close out(pay).

  15. I suggest team to add feature for adding items with variants via excel upload on web dashboard. Currently only allows user to add variants one by one manually in clover device, which is too complicated and not efficient.

  17. Merchant explain that she sell cigarette in her business and the prices change a lot doing the year and it would make changing prices on the dashboard by selecting all the items that need to have the same price all at once and just changing only the prices because most cigarettes have different types but all of them are the same price when it come to the type of cigarette

  20. All the online orders are charged online now, so while customers are placing the online orders, they need to pass the AVS verification in order to have the orders placed successfully. Otherwise, the orders should be reject and not going through.
