Management Functions

Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

7. Software Plans: Here you can provide feedback on Clover’s software plans. Please specify which plan your idea is featuring (Table Service Restaurants, Counter Service Restaurants, Register, Essentials, Payments).

  2. Ability to print the rewards codes by itself without having to print the receipt. A lot of my customers don't need their full receipt they just need the rewards. It would save a lot of paper if there was a button for rewards only next to the receipt button

  3. When merchants try to edit the payments receipts through the clover dashboard they have limited functionalities. Merchants would want to have more personalized receipts. Also, there's no option to change the background color on the top of the receipt.

  4. Right now the drive through register is printing to the cooks when the order is placed via the drive through headset system. Dine in register on the other hand is printing to the cooks only when you press the print order is pressed. You should be able to have each register options to print to the cooks independently on every device.

  5. When dine in — there needs to be a mandatory identifier for the table, place or area for which the order is coming from. Then servers will know where to take the food and drinks in a room of 300 tables

  6. While using virtual terminal it would be helpful to have the ability to email and/or print receipt at order end. For email, it would be to send a copy to the client and a second copy to our internal accounting team.

  7. I would like to see it when you enter a “New item” if the UPC has been previously used that the clover would notify you so you do not have duplicates. It would help with inventory tracking and data entry. I have been in the grocery business for about 17 years and worked several systems they all did this. I am very pleased with how the clover operates. Thank you.

  8. I would like to be able to use a deposit button, for example if clients are buying beer their is a battle deposit added and when they return the bottles we can reimburse them the money.

  9. Merchant would like Longer preparation time for Clover online orders
    the merchant do catering and most customers order catering ahead of time. Some time 2 days in advance or longer.

  10. Merchant wants the ability to be able to adjust to column lengths within the inventory - items section. Some item names are longer than other and it cuts off and makes it hard to navigate/identify the particular item. So columns such as tax are longer, but only has a small number there so its taking up unnecessary space. Can this be updated?

  11. Merchant like the top 5 items and top 5 categories option on the dashboard.
    Merchant would like the ability to see top 5 labels on the dashboard but the option is not available on the dashboard merchant is requesting to provide a drop down option to pick from showing top items / top categories/ top labels.
    I was able to show merchant a work around to go to reporting items and look at the labels report , merchant already knew how to do that merchant really want the ability to toggle between the top chart to show to labels

  12. When you do a search for a product on the Register screen, items with longer descriptions show up as:

    This is an item with a longer des...

    There is no quantity on hand displayed.

    Items with shorter descriptions show the quantity on hand:

    This is an item (10)

    I would like to see the quantity on hand displayed on EVERY line for EVERY product. Either move the ellipsis back to allow for the quantity to show or put the quantity on the next line.

  13. Hello we have a lot of liquor shops that need the low inventory item count notification either via email or text messages for low inventory And the merchant can reorder. Right now there’s no way for them to know if the count on the product is low.

    We also need to add to the dashboard and system a way for the merchant to know how much in dollars he has on their products they are selling in their liquor shop.

    These are very important features that we are losing business to the competition on.

  14. I have a handful of merchants that want to have the option to have each item ordered printed out individually on separate order receipts, rather than multiple items on the same order receipt.... Sans the Expo printer. This request comes mostly from Asian restaurants where they also need to use their native language on the order receipts for their cooks to be able to read the items ordered.

    Having each individual item print on separate order receipts helps avoid missing items, cooking the wrong dish altogether, etc.

    Please make this happen ASAP! It would be a great option for every…

  16. Clover Customer App tether to the Clover POS while on same network as the restaurant. Ability for customer to place an order at their table from their phone and show up at the bar or counter POS and show what table they are at. Then cash out on the App.

  18. Can you add the total number of items in an order, while they are entering items in a retail environment. After opening an order in the orders app, this can be seen when using the Counter Service service plan. It needs to be visible when entering the order too.

  19. using the Station Duo one can enter an order and select "order type" example DINE IN, TAKE OUT and DELIVERY. However this selection "order type" is not available using the Clover Flex. Whatever "default" is selected (dine in , delivery, take out) in DASHBOARD is only type that shows up in Clover Flex. Order type should be allowed to be shown on Clover Flex; its only logical , otherwise the kitchen doesn't know type of order being prepared, if Clover Flex is used to enter order.

  20. I am unable to track my inventory because you do not allow partial quantities. As a result I cannot track my inventory - please add, this is a simple functionality in place by all the competition.
