Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Reporting Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover reporting software to help merchants run their business more effectively. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in reporting functions. We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Reporting Functionality: Ideas here should explicitly focus on the practicality and usefulness of Clover’s reporting feature. Is it easy to customize filters? Is the frequency at which reports generated sufficient?

2. Reporting Tips, Taxes, and Service Charges: This category should distinctively include all feedback regarding Clover reports producing intelligence on tips, taxes, and service charges.

3. Employee Reporting: This category should distinctively include all feedback regarding Clover reports producing intelligence on employees.

  1. Merchant would like to remove tips from employee report. Currently they are able to remove it for cash report but not for employees report.

  2. I need to be able to see items sold for a given time (1 week, 1 month, 2 months) on the same report as current quantity on hand in order to accurately order new product. We order beer, wine and liquor every week and need better reporting. I am spending hours to put two reports together when someone with programming skills could easily add this category to the current report.

  3. we need to be able to check in real time what the credit card fee is that we are being charged for each transaction. because your invoice system directs the payments to the bank without pausing for authorization we are now incurring fees on every invoice instantly on payment. BUT if the customer changes their mind in a few minutes or the next week we are unable to know what fees to charge them for making the return that quickly. 30 days is far too long to wait and not know what to charge the customer that is returning the…

  4. Prior to last week, I could go to "Closeout" and print batch reports. The Closeout screen also gave options for printing Card Type Totals and Server Totals. As of last week, all of the print buttons automatically print all of the reports. I called customer service and found out that this is a result of a recent update. Updates should be improvements. Updates should not decrease my options.

  5. You recently discontinued the service plan we signed up for, and replaced it with a plan that removed a very important feature. Our servers would hold their cash sales and print a cash settlement report the end of their shift that automatically deducted their credit card tips from the cash they owed us. This was a very important feature we relied on, and you eliminated it right in the middle of a business day, with no warning. I recommend you reinstate this feature as soon as possible, or I'm sure many businesses will find other services.

  6. For clients using TeleCheck ICA on Clover, we need to provide a decline code for failed transactions. My client McCoy's used Payeezy for TeleCheck, and they were able to see the decline codes in Payeezy. Since they converted to Clover Gateway, they can no longer view these decline codes in the Dashboard. This is a critical loss of function they really need to manage their customer service experience.

  8. Not sure if this is the case for users that export data to Quickbooks through the Clover app, but as a user that introduces deposits manually in QB it would be very helpful to click on tender type and see how many retail items were sold during a specific time period that were cash transactions and that were credit card transactions. Also the daily batches should have a breakdown of retail items sold and the surcharge amount.

  9. It would be helpful if we had the option to sort alphabetically. I need to input the sales by device into a spreadsheet and the card types aren't always in the same order.

  10. WE NEED TO BE ABLE TO SORT THE TRANSACTION BY PAYMENT DATE AND TIME. THEY CURRENTLY ONLY SORT BY DATE AND IT DOES NOT SORT BY TIME.

  11. CLOVER BATCH TOTALS SHOWING SURCHARGES FOR 2% CREDIT CARD FEES SO WE KNOW WHAT WAS A SURCHARGE AND WHAT AMOUNT WASN'T WITHOUT HAVING TO ADD ALL THE RECEIPTS.

  12. Ability to run a comparative report of servers to be able to measure detailed sales performance of each server:

    number of guests
    selectable date range
    sold entrees (count and gross dollars)
    sold appetizers
    sold liquor
    sold desserts
    display/filter on day of week
    display/filter on order entry time

  13. CLOVER INTEGRATION WITH UBER EATS

    Multiple selections
    Can customers select the options more than once?

    UBER EATS OFFERS THE OPTION TO CUSTOMIZE THE RULES OVER THE CHOICE OF AN EXTRA ITEM, BUT CLOVER DOES NOT.

    THIS MEANS THAT MY CLIENTS CANNOT SELECT MORE THAN 1 TIME AN EXTRA. IT ONLY WORKS IF I ENTER EVERYDAY AT EATS MERCHANT AND ACTIVATE THE OPTION OF "How many times can customers select any single option?"

  14. When accounting sync is enabled in Clover to QuickBooks Online, all the day total sale is posted as Clover Sale. We would need to have each sale posted to the particular client and it also should include the item ordered

  15. The terminal allows you to view open order or partially paid orders but not at the same time. You should be able to check off in the filters which items you would like to see.

  16. When adding a customized item or tax- allow the total amount to show on the reporting so that the totals match up. the transactions are not matching with the batch totals. Having a more detailed reporting system will help with itemized, detailed individualized line items showing the exact amount including taxes and additional fees

  17. when an item is paid it can then be marked as ship to, partially paid, pick up and once that is done then they can mark it as such. Also create a report so they can see these items in this status.

  18. When a customer pays for their mattress they want to know who is the vendor on the receipt. That would be the category title and that does not show on the customer or order receipt.

  19. Allow resellers or admin users to make changes to the device name that shows up on the reporting. Currently only the owner is able to make this change.

  20. The sales report is displaying on the home screen of clover device. And our merchant don't want that. Could you please find a way to remove or hide it from the home screen.
