Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.
Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

  1. Add permission to suppress tip reporting. The data is misleading for restaurants that pool tips as the employee doesn't receipt a closeout.

  2. The Condensed Report would be better condensed by removing the by employee section or at least the option to remove/exclude this detail.

  3. Need to have a report that generates the number of guests each day related directly to each order. This helps with reporting on how much each guest is spending in my taproom.

  4. I have had multiple table restaurants reject Clover because when they do an end of shift report, it’s not printing off each of the server sales and the adjusted tip amount so they cannot track it to make sure that servers aren’t changing the tip amounts

  5. In the Clover app and desktop application, cash sales are not included in the first screen. Even in the batch reports, cash income has not been seen. Needed to dig in to see the actual income. Creats unsecure idea and conflicts

  6. NEED Tips at end of day to decipher between tips for food and regular beverages and tips for bar orders..

    So servers can tip bar on bar items handled "WITHOUT" giving bar tips on "Entire" food order ( food they serve should not be portion of tip that goes to bartender)

    NEED simpler way at the end of the day to see breakout by employee for bar tip versus food tip portion for total tips

    Ie;
    Days orders came to $1,000

    $200 of order was bar

    $800 of order was food and beverage

    Tip is 20% of the total ticket

  7. Please make it so that surcharge collected is reported separately from total sales on batch reports and closeout information.

  8. My servers need to be able to print a report that will show individual transactions with the gratuity listed also. This will greatly help us identify errors and every processor I have ever used has this function. I can't be the only restaurant that needs this function.

  10. have the option to have tips withheld setting for employees at 3% by law the merchant is not suppose to keep any of the tips earned by the employee, since the merchant is not keeping the tips at all, the employee's get paid off of tips however the merchant is getting hit with the percentage of credit card processing fee's - merchant should have the options to tip withhold a percentage off the tips to offset the credit card processing off of money the merchant does not keep, it's like if the employee is not taking any of the costs…

  11. It would be great if there were an option to print the list of transactions included in the closeout batch report. I am aware it can be viewed online or on the device but a printing option would be more convenient for me. That was one of the questions I asked the sales person before switching over, only to find that the option is not even an option.

  12. The new condensed sales report on device provides the Sales by Tender Type, but we must add the figures together to determine card totals. It'd be helpful to have the "Total" section from the Full Report on the Condensed Report.

  13. Add the cash rendered amount to the column header in Sales Activity > Transactions report so we can easily identify potential theft or expectations for the till at shift changes. Or offer the ability to customize the headers of the Sales Activity reports like we can with Inventory

  17. Currently the default option is set to condensed reporting, merchant would like an option to have it default to a full report which is not available at the moment.

  18. In restaurants with bars, generally the server needs to tip out the bar on bar sales. We need to have a breakdown by category or revenue class available on the device. It's too cumbersome to have to go through all of the steps using the dashboard, and many shift supervisors and even managers do not have access to the web dashboard. Additionally, you want to be able to print the report and attach to server check outs to be turned in to owner or accounting or whomever. Please do this ASAP.

  19. We have a few locations that would love to be able to filter the Tips app by date.

    We have a bar that checks all tips entered the prior night for accuracy before they manually settle the batch. This helps prevent calls from customers due to tip entry errors. They would love to only see the tips from a specific date or yesterday.

  20. I would like to see a way to download a report from the Dashboard of transactions by hour. I use the CloverGo app a lot, but shows total revenue (per location). There is a way to see the number of transactions, but you have to tap 3 times to find that. A separate chart on the Go app or Dashboard would help. I prefer to see (for staffing) the number of tickets/transactions per hour. This report would be able to print daily/monthly to show sales by hour and if I need to adjust staffing.
