I’ve been going back and forth with this VIP issue with Clover support for some time.
I’ve been told that VIP’s are only created by number of visits and or points through purchases and you have to be on the Plus program in Rewards or Promos.
Here lies the problem.
The client is forced to pay more money for the Plus program, $99.00, which isn’t an issue if it really created a VIP filter capability.
Our client has their own VIP program they created.
It’s like a membership program.
A customer walks in and wants to be a VIP.
They pay $125.00 and they get a hat. shirt and glass with the clients logo on it.
The VIP’s will also be sent invites for special events strictly for VIP’s.
The client wants the ability to filter VIP’s from the regular customers so they can send promos to all or just to the VIP’s.
A much needed function.
My understanding is what makes the Customer Engagement Suite unique is that it ties the Customers App, Rewards, Promos and Feedback together.
It really doesn’t at this time.
Here’s what we need and I don’t mean just my client, but the ability of Clover on a global scale to really make this Customer Engagement Suite truly functional.
A VIP filter or a few more nameable fields under The Customers Type in the Customers App.
The ability to make a customer a VIP without having to go through the standard points or purchase process.
