There are a lot of ways to take a payment. Provide your ideas to help advance Clover’s payments acceptance process here. We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.

  1. "All Done" prompt when the back button is selected on tip prompt.

    Customers have walked out by pressing the back button on the tip screen. The message is the same message that is prompted when a sale is done. It is very confusing and much harder to track the customer in a fast paced environment. Much like a busy bar or a night club.   2. You cannot put tips in for a closed order if your Station is offline. Calling Clover support the only answer I received was to call in and they can run a 2nd transaction on the card for the tip amount. This would hit the customers card 2x and is NOT a good way to deal with this issue. If the Station is offline the tip amount should be able to be entered and stored/sent with all the other card data when the system comes back online.

  3. We have a Clover Station 2018, and when the screen is flipped for a customer to provide a Custom Tip there's a lot of confusion after the customer enters the Tip amount. Can the green checkmark be made LARGER or a large DONE button inserted in lieu of the green checkmark?

  4. Auto gratuities should be categorized as tips, not as service charges. For locations that pool tips this difference causes confusion when splitting the tips.

  6. Merchant would like to see the tip line and suggestions at the bill so he is able to have it on all receipts, for all form of payments accepted at the business.

  7. Merchant needs the ability for a PIN debit transaction to allow for the addition of a tip or the ability to turn off PIN entry on the Station. Merchant has many online PIN debit card transactions which do not produce a tip line.

  8. Print tip suggestion on the bottom of the bill BEFORE payment, AND print tip suggestion on the bottom of Cash Receipts.

    Clover only prints tip suggestion for Credit Card payments.

  9. Hello, it's vital that the new clover online ordering function that is replacing the Ordering.app has an option to add tips to an online order. My employees are getting frustrated they no longer receive tips and the customers what this feature as well. This is VITAL to keeping my workers happy. Ordering.app had this feature as default and we are losing that service. Please let me know ASAP. Again, super important.

  11. Many restaurants have servers tip out certain percentages to Hosts, Cooks, Bartenders, barbacks, etc. But there is no way to do this (manually or automatically) in Clover. The dollars would need to come off of the servers tip report and also go to the other employee. This way the data can flow appropriately to other apps like Homebase for proper payroll processing.

  12. Merchants are requesting the option to reprint the CC receipt with the tip after the tip is adjusted. Many restaurants audit the customers hand written tip adjustment at checkout to make sure no errors were made when adjusting tips.

  14. PLEASE ALLOW TIPS BE ADDED TO DEBIT CARD SALES AFTER 25 MINUTES OF ORIGINAL SALE BEING PROCESSED. IF TIP IS TAKEN ON PAPER RECEIPTS.

    MERCHANTS EVERYWHERE ARE LOSING TIPS ON DEBIT CARD SALES.

    PLEASE ADD THESE POLICIES RESTRICTING DEBIT CARD ADJUSTMENTS/TIPS AFTER 25 MINUTES FOR DISCLOSURE.

    Hello, 

    If you have a merchant that has EDS Debit, their transactions can be routed to Debit Rails. When routed on Debit rails, these transactions cannot be tip-adjusted after 25 minutes. This is a network constraint, not one imposed by Clover. If merchants are willing to disable EDS Debit support then all of their Signature Debit transactions will be routed as Credit. This would allow the merchant to adjust the transaction/tip amount up until closeout.

  15. would like to take receipts on printed receipts and on tablet screen this would be really easy for customer to use and employees cause not all customers want a receipt and would much rather have to enter there tips on the tablet screen and not all customer want to place there tips on tablet screen and would much rather have there tips on a receipt where they can see there charges. This feature would be most helpful to merchants with one device and would also limits call to clover support to ask for card numbers to enter tips because they…

  17. Hi

    As a restaurant with an overall increase in phone sales related to the pandemic it would be very useful to include a tip prompt on PHONE SALES. For restaurants, many of our customers would like to leave a tip and be able to see it on their receipt. They can do that through the regular sale function but we cannot do so through a phone sale. The only way to add a tip is todo so manually and therefore it doesn't show separately on the receipt.

  19. ​Several POS companies including xxxx can require the wait staff employee to declare tips in order to open the option of clocking out. The business justification for this feature is that the IRS requires that wait staff employee tips must be declared at some point anyway, as part of the payroll process, by the employer. This shifts that responsibility to the wait staff employee so the employer/manager/accountant does not have to spend literally hours sifting through each individual's hours and sales to determine tips to declare for each shift.   20. client pays $300 for spa service and $25 on cafe and then tips 20% can we split the tips to each accordingly so clover will keep track of who gets what?
