Management Functions

Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

7. Software Plans: Here you can provide feedback on Clover’s software plans. Please specify which plan your idea is featuring (Table Service Restaurants, Counter Service Restaurants, Register, Essentials, Payments).

  2. Merchant requests an inventory control feature for COLO so when they are out of a particular item it automatically stops letting people order it, so there is no overlap from the time they sell out to the time they uncheck it as current offering.

  3. Merchants are requesting an option to apply discounts on the clover online when they receive clover orders online

  4. Gift card value should be accepted as a payment type through online ordering. Limiting gift cards to in-store use is a hassle.

  6. Merchant would like the ability to set a minimum dollar amount for COLO. This is due to certain items being $1.00, which can be easily abused and unprofitable when considering processing fees.

  7. Step 1: Choose your meal and order Pickup or Curbside option
    Step 2: In the ”Special Instructions’,’ provide the make, model and color of the vehicle
    Step 3: Park in the parking lot and for those who opt-in, staff will bring the order to the car upon arrival without any action needed. Those who don’t opt-in to the service just need to tap ”I’m here” in the app or order confirmation email upon arrival.

  8. We are only opening for CURBSIDE PICKUP but Clover does not have the ability to remove the "In-store Pickup" option. Confusing and misleading to customers. Also, customers don't get the curbside order instructions so they don't know what to do upon arrival.

  10. Merchant requested to edit the time frame/wait time provided to customers for an order made through COLO, advised that by default provides a prompt of 40mins to be prepared, he said that won't work for his location as he has to many customers and sometimes need an hour depending on the amount of orders and customers in queue.

  11. Allow alcohol to be sold online where it is legal to do so. I am in Dallas, TX and it is legal to order alcohol online for pick up.

  13. When an online order comes in ..... the clover device should PING loudly and have a pop up come saying "Order Arrived"
    We expect our staff to do other tasks during their down time so they aren't always right beside the clover unit to see the order print off.

  14. Picture this: it's a busy rush. Chef says we are out of GUACAMOLE don't sell anymore! So I have to leave the cash and:
    -go to the office
    -open a browser
    -go to clover.com
    -sign in
    -click on account & setup
    -click online ordering
    -click online menu
    -de-select GUACAMOLE
    And then I need to head back up to the cash where I've been absent for 2-4mins

    This cannot be the way!

    Can we please get an option on the device to do this?

    I can even suggest the placement:
    -Click on Inventory
    -Click on item desired
    -Check box beside 'Show…

  15. The Station Pro and Online Ordering are great... but we need to have store staff able to enter phone orders for DELIVERIES in the online order system ... not just pickup or curbside...

  16. Square ingrates with Go Daddy, Clover should have the online store renovated and brought back for retail clients. Simplify the online webstore experience. Third party apps don't have good reviews.

  18. Merchant wants to be able to have a QR code for the customers to be able to order and pay there without asking all the info that it requires, as in phone number and the captcha security.

  19. For online orders, enable pay at the store. In recent days, many of our merchants facing a lot of chargeback issues. money deduction from the bank. If we enabled the pay at store option, client will handle the payments directly. they have strong docs to submit if any disputes are raised.
    it will reduce the merchant's disputes on online fraudulent
