Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Reporting Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover reporting software to help merchants run their business more effectively. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in reporting functions. We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Reporting Functionality: Ideas here should explicitly focus on the practicality and usefulness of Clover’s reporting feature. Is it easy to customize filters? Is the frequency at which reports generated sufficient?

2. Reporting Tips, Taxes, and Service Charges: This category should distinctively include all feedback regarding Clover reports producing intelligence on tips, taxes, and service charges.

3. Employee Reporting: This category should distinctively include all feedback regarding Clover reports producing intelligence on employees.

4. Inventory/Order/Customer/Sales Reporting: This category should distinctively include all feedback regarding Clover reports producing intelligence on inventory, orders and customers. This also includes reporting on sales/revenue.

  1. Once a transaction has posted the tax should not be changed./ We removed the cities we had left and entered the new ones come to find when doing the sales tax report, it moved transactions to closest tax rate

    Once a transaction posted and batched it should save it in the reports

    I now have to manually go back and match every date and city!!

  2. The merchant has various tax rates for bottle tax. In reporting he would like to be able to see the amount of items sold under a specific tax rate as well as the item names

  4. I need the ability for employees to view and print how much CASH they owe to the house. Currently the sales overview is broken out by location instead of by employee. I need to be able to see how much John Smith owes to house as well as Jane Doe. This should include payouts so that the total cash owed to house per employee is easily identified. This way my employee can close out their cash at the end of their shift, regardless of the time of day. Right now, the employee closing at the end of the day shows…

  5. Subtract the labor cost from homebase from the net sales in Sales Overview and subtract the COGS from the food items in net sales in Sales Overview.

  6. I am asked reguarly by 3rd party softwares that integrate and sync with clover as to the 'creation date' of a product. Can you add this? As an example, some of my products are not properly syncing with ECWID and they wanted to find when the product was created and in order to do that they need to know from your end. There is not currently an option in reports or inventory for that but it would be helpful.

  7. We are able to select a custom date range in our reports, but the data is spit out as an aggregate of all days in the range. So if I select 3 days, I am shown a report of the entire 3 days, instead of each day separately. I am not able to compare data daily except by exporting and manipulating with Excel. I recommend you give us the ability to see a summary of each day that is in the date range, and then if we were to click the summary it should open up a tree to show…

  8. I should be able to take any of the base reports and filter, total, and add fields as necessary. The existing reports are not sufficient to my company's needs, and we're spending days each month to export the data that we need to create reports outside of Clover.

    Right now we need to run the sales, tenders, and discounts reports for every employee in order to collect the information we need, and then we have to collate and transform that information. I would expect any POS system to have much more robust and flexible reports.

  10. would it be possible to have a breakdown of the taxes in the closeout report the merchant prints off from the station? currently there are 3 reports they can print off from the device but the summary report does not break down the GST and the other taxes

  11. We need a report that will pull client data connected to sales so you can see who is our top client by sales or by category etc. This is a basic CRM report that is critical for retail

  15. What is the purpose of an INVENTORY application, if it cannot generate a report that includes all of these on one sheet? The fact that this is not already possible, begs the question "why have categories at all?" What is their use if not for inventory reports? I would very much appreciate a reply as I am seeking not only improvements in your products, but also the logic behind such seemingly odd omissions from the software capabilities.

  16. Merchants need to be able to see the taxes collected when a customer pays with a gift card.
    As of right now the merchant will see it as a total purchase. They need visibility of what portion of the sale was taxes. Merchants use these reports for book keeping and to assist with tax filing.
    Merchants are looking to have all Gift Card reporting combined with Clover reporting so they can use one report for reconciliation and tax reporting

  17. The merchant would like an automated feature implemented that would calculate the cash by shifts. cash added, cash removed, sales ect. at this time the merchant is balancing the drawer by manually entering notes via the cash log application

  18. Reports that currently only run on the device should be able to be run from the dashboard. Example: employee report for certain device gives breakdown of all transactions per employee for that specific device...we have to go to each device to run that report... but we should be able to run that from within the dashboard.

  19. Please print the device name on reports printed from a certain device. The employee report shows each employee but if you have 12 registers you don’t know which report can from which device.

  20. Please enhance the reporting application to offer much more detail reporting, such as a breakdown of splitting service charges so they know exactly what to pay out their employees without having to calculate it themselves.
    Also many merchants really like all of the reporting capabilities other point of sales systems have that clover does not have.

    Reporting is crucial for businesses and for dine in restaurants they are used to having certain reports that Clover does not have.
