Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Reporting Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover reporting software to help merchants run their business more effectively. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in reporting functions. We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Reporting Functionality: Ideas here should explicitly focus on the practicality and usefulness of Clover’s reporting feature. Is it easy to customize filters? Is the frequency at which reports generated sufficient?

2. Reporting Tips, Taxes, and Service Charges: This category should distinctively include all feedback regarding Clover reports producing intelligence on tips, taxes, and service charges.

3. Employee Reporting: This category should distinctively include all feedback regarding Clover reports producing intelligence on employees.

4. Inventory/Order/Customer/Sales Reporting: This category should distinctively include all feedback regarding Clover reports producing intelligence on inventory, orders and customers. This also includes reporting on sales/revenue.

  1. The option to export a .csv of the inventory and sales report is an incredible feature of Clover. One additional boost that would perfect this feature would be an option to schedule an automatic export at a specific time to be sent to an email address.

  2. Reporting - Merchant requests that reporting be upgraded to include more information. Not every sale we process is taxable. We also sell to other vendors and those items are tax free. Currently i have two reports i can pull. Revenue Item Sales and Payments. When i pull the Revenue item sales it shows the items and amounts but doesn't say if the sale was taxable or not. When i pull the Payments i can see if a specific payment was taxable but it doesn't tell me what item was sold.

  3. Simple report showing a customer's purchases for the month, week, whatever. It can be exported to PDF to email to the customer. The information is already all there; just a quick button to set a time period and export to PDF.

  4. Clover already collects the hourly sales data and displays it in dashboard, but only for today. We'd like to see trends in sales by hour of the day. But reporting doesn't allow this feature.

    Would like this report to include filter by revenue class. This way our manual payments for maintenance clients or large projects can be separated from the true retail revenue in the brick-and-mortar store.

  5. Item's cost is averaged because upon the keyed cost for each new in take. Provides a more accurate report of Net Margin & Net Profit.

  6. We need to be able to look at an Item and see sales for a time period and see what invoices that item was sold on. I need to see individual receipts to view the notes on these sales and can't locate them in Clover. The transaction tab doesn't allow you to search by item - Which it really should.
    I find it hard to believe Clover doesn't offer these options but that's what tech support told me.

  9. You currently offer a sales comparison with the same date of the previous year, but not the same day of the week. Our business is heavily variable based on the day of the week; comparing Saturday, June 5, 2021 to Friday, June 5, 2020 is not very useful. But comparing Saturday, June 5, 2021 to Saturday, Jun 6, 2020 would be very useful. Our previous point-of-sale system offered this functionality.

  10. Under Reporting / Item Sales there is no summary for the labels.
    When we want to print it prints a whole roll of paper. I really waste papers! We are very embarrass when the clients bring this up. We can't have simple minded employee access to computer for Dashbaord access to print a summary like you have on the Dashboard of food vs beverage vs liquor items viewed by labels.

  11. Program the ability to print a detailed batch report. I lose merchants and new deals because the Clover Mini and Clover Flex can''t do that

  12. When accessing the items report via the dashboard, the merchant would like the data to show the items sold per category per employee. Upon review this is only possible if employees are filtered individually, which the merchant would like to avoid as it can be very time consuming

  13. We need reporting to reflect lump sum totals for each of the following categories: labor, parts, service call, tip e.g.s
    labor = lump sum
    parts = lump sum
    and so forth.

  14. Once a transaction has posted the tax should not be changed./ We removed the cities we had left and entered the new ones come to find when doing the sales tax report, it moved transactions to closest tax rate

    Once a transaction posted and batched it should save it in the reports

    I now have to manually go back and match every date and city!!

  15. We need a report that will pull client data connected to sales so you can see who is our top client by sales or by category etc. This is a basic CRM report that is critical for retail

  17. I need the ability for employees to view and print how much CASH they owe to the house. Currently the sales overview is broken out by location instead of by employee. I need to be able to see how much John Smith owes to house as well as Jane Doe. This should include payouts so that the total cash owed to house per employee is easily identified. This way my employee can close out their cash at the end of their shift, regardless of the time of day. Right now, the employee closing at the end of the day shows…

  18. We are able to select a custom date range in our reports, but the data is spit out as an aggregate of all days in the range. So if I select 3 days, I am shown a report of the entire 3 days, instead of each day separately. I am not able to compare data daily except by exporting and manipulating with Excel. I recommend you give us the ability to see a summary of each day that is in the date range, and then if we were to click the summary it should open up a tree to show…

  19. I should be able to take any of the base reports and filter, total, and add fields as necessary. The existing reports are not sufficient to my company's needs, and we're spending days each month to export the data that we need to create reports outside of Clover.

    Right now we need to run the sales, tenders, and discounts reports for every employee in order to collect the information we need, and then we have to collate and transform that information. I would expect any POS system to have much more robust and flexible reports.

  20. Subtract the labor cost from homebase from the net sales in Sales Overview and subtract the COGS from the food items in net sales in Sales Overview.
