Welcome to the Clover Retail Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Retail merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Retail space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Retail Categories.



Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Order: Ideas relating to the process of creating and managing Orders.

2. Appointments: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s Appointment software.

3. Website: Ideas relating to your Clover branded website.

4. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

5. Customer Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

6. Items & Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

  1. Salon's as a professional service, collect deposits for the ability to charge in advance and credit the subtotal so that they are not any no shows. if the customer does not show up they charge the deposit

  4. It would be nice to have an extra charging base or two. This way you don't have to lug around the base and charging cable if you move to different parts of the building or a new location.

  5. I operate an IT business that also performs instore and onsite repairs. I would like to be able to present my customers with a custom form with a signature field at the customer facing terminal for when they drop off equipment or when they pick up equipment. My system is a Station Duo.

  6. Include alternative options for 2FA, like email when logging into the dashboard for the first time. International clients aren't able to receive SMS Text as international/country codes aren't listed on the drop down. Specifically need to add Palau 011680 as a option.

  7. No opening drawer ringing.
    This is the only register system I have ever seen (forty plus years in retail) that allows transaction to be rung while the cash drawer is open this is rife with issues. You cant' keep honest people honest if you don't have the single most basic physical base covered.

  9. It used to be where I could turn OFF this setting and then it would be turned back on after a period of time. Now, the setting is always required to be ON. If this is the case, then don't have the setting to turn it OFF or ON because it would not be necessary.

  10. It would be the reverse of discount, like add an additional % on custom items, for example when we are building a chain sling we add 10% of the total item as a build fee, but you only give a flat fee as an option would be nice to change it to a %

  11. Our customers book with us based on time, we need a way to have the flexibility to choose one of our courts and punch in how much time a customer is spending which then computes the right pricing.

    Ie: 1hr is $50 , 1.5hr is 5+25 = $75

    Our employees should be able to punch in the amount time so the price can adjust accordingly.

Fix your 2-Factor Authentication, I do not want it turned on and I will turn it off and as soon as I turn it off and logoff, when I login again, it is back on again, turning itself back on again, then I have to wait for the code to come up to type it and it doesn't pop up right away. If I wanted it on, I would turn it on. I DO NOT WANT IT ON. I WANT IT "OFF"!!! IT WASTES MY TIME. FIX IT PLEASE!!!!

  13. Why is there no direct link to the developer page within the main dashboard of your account. It makes absolutely no sense to have to make yet another login to get into the developers area. This way anything you develop is linked back to your account.

  14. It would be nice if when adding a customer onto a new order that the option would be available to send the add customer page to the customer station for them to fill-out instead of the associate being the one to ask them their information and fill it out. Possible a pop-up asking associate to send page to customer or not.

  15. Looking to be able to hide categories on the register layout. In the categories column it would be nice to have the option to be able to turn on and off categories on the managers back office like you can do with the items. In some instances the way we run our retail shop it would be more efficient for my employees not to have some of the categories appear on the register orders page in certain parts of our year.

  16. Just moved business to clover max and have 14 terminals all linked. There's no option to manually settle machines. You need to wait until they auto settle everyday.. silly.

    There's two auto settle reporting options:

    1. Group all employee sales together under Quick Access and nobody can find what their individual sales were.
    2. Have everyone log in but all 15 machines print 5ft long settlements every settlement including all employee sales on every settlement, 15 times across all machines.

    This is the silliest and worst feature I can imagine, and I've never seen this problem with another company. Possibly annoying enough…

  17. For telephone purchases/payments, we would like the ability to pull/select from the Items list in the Clover Terminal into the New Sale on the Virtual Terminal. Should be able to show itemized list and total sale in the receipt sent to customer. Currently we can only enter a total sale amount, with a "Note for item or service" in a text box.

  18. For the love of dear baby Jesus, would you please let the web UI remember more than one device? I log in from a few different devices (home PC, work PC, tablet, phone), and constantly have to go to my phone to get the 2FA code because it only remembers the last one, not this one. So it defeats the purpose entirely to remember a device.

  19. Report that shows the last time that an employee logged into the dashboard and device. this will allow admins to better manage their employees list.

  20. It would make adding or making mass edits to items if there is a "previous item and next item" buttons on the top somewhere when edit a single item. This would just take you to the next item in the list you were in. instead of backing out and finding the next item.
