There are a lot of ways to take a payment. Provide your ideas to help advance Clover’s payments acceptance process here. We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Virtual Terminal: Provide all feedback on the Virtual Terminal in this category. How can we make this solution more useful for merchants?

2. Refunds/Exchanges: If you have any feedback on Clover’s refund or exchange functions please let us know here.

  1. I have a very large merchant with 8 clovers and they are about to switch to micros for this exact reason. They are insanely busy, and many times a card is swiped for the wrong table. When this happens, they have to void the transaction.

    BUT - there is no feature to re-open the order and apply the correct payment card. Instead, they have to open a new table/order, re-enter all of the items, apply a note to the kitchen "do not make" (because you can't close an order that is not fired), swipe the card again to complete payment.…

  4. You have the alphabet under the number for the merchant pin area but no alphabet under the numbers for the customer Pin number. Please add, People have a word they use for a debit/credit pin password.

  5. Is there a way to save the customer's credit card info whenever they make a purchase? Merchant has a small business and her customers are repeat, so having the card info on hand in the records (even if it only shows the last 4 digits) would be very convenient. She could just pull up the records and select the card she wishes to use when the customer comes in again.

  7. A typical merchant that does counter sales and delivery such as a pizza restaurant, wants to have the tip suggest at the counter but have the ability to do tip adjust after the auth for the delivery tickets. The CC is run before the delivery and they bring the receipt back with a tip on it. Currently the only option is 100% at the counter or 100% after the sale.

  8. Merchant would like to be able to have a quick sale option for a parking garage. Merchant wants to be able to have customer insert/swipe card and the device to automatically have a predetermined amount; also would like to be able to hit the option of CASH when customer has cash instead of choosing the amount of cash.

  10. Can we get the ability to select multiple card types when filtering data in the dashboard? (Ex: Credit and Debit.) Sometimes we want to see just credit card volume when reconciling, it would save a step from having to export the entire stats and then filter out what we do not want (Cash/GC/Etc.)

  12. FastPay to have a $20 option, since this is what most people pay with.

    Currently, if there is a low ticket price items (ie. $4, there is only a few options, the closest denominations to $4, but no $20)

  13. For a phone sale, we would like to have the option to require the zip code and street address. The rates come in so much cheaper when a user passes in these values.

    We're planning an enhancement where zip code will be required and street address will be optional. The AVS result will continue to be displayed to the merchant. Street address is not reliable, so we do not plan to make it mandatory.

  16. I know you can set Clover Dining to Auto Print all receipts. It would be very helpful to have the option to set Auto Printing for only credit card transactions.

    We give our Customers a bill before payment so if they pay by cash or gift card there is no reason to waste all that paper printing their receipt.

    But chen customers pay by credit card we do need to Copies. One for the customer, and one for us.

  19. Merchant stated that he processes cards manually, some of the cards processed are international. stated his older machine gave numerous prompts, card number, cvv, address, zip code, purchase code ect.

    stated he would like to be prompted for as much verification as possible in order to lower the cost of the transaction fee and avoid the possible risk of a charge back dispute

  20. ISO called on behalf of the Merchant. They had a chargeback for a transaction but was searching payment info from the grand total, not subtotal without the tip. The tip amount was more than the transaction amount but that caused them to not be able to locate the payment info requested by the bank in time. We did educate the proper way to search but he still wanted that search option to be change to grand total with tip and tax amount included.
