Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

7. Software Plans: Here you can provide feedback on Clover’s software plans. Please specify which plan your idea is featuring (Table Service Restaurants, Counter Service Restaurants, Register, Essentials, Payments).

  1. The merchant needs to be able to apply a quantity to a modifier associated with a selected item within Clover online ordering.

    EX:
    Customer choices and item called 'dozen bagels'. They want to split the flavors and select multiple types of different flavors to be included.

    This option is not available on Clover Online. Having an option to apply a quantity to not just an item, but modifier as well will help restaurants with better online ordering flow. Customers have to use the special request to grant this. Most Customers may miss the special request field.

  2. Clover app says there is an option to order ahead, but it will not allow ordering ahead outside of hours of operation, which is the whole point of ordering ahead to schedule order for pickup during open hours. However, accessing the online store through a web browser does have the appropriate/expected functionality at all times allowing scheduling of orders for future days/times. This is very confusing to my customers losing functionality when using the app vs. the web browser. The app needs to allow the same functionality for ordering ahead that is offered in the browser.

  3. Merchant would like to be able to customize her clover online ordering message to her clients. She wants to be able to let the clients know when their order will be ready.

  6. Why don't you offer an online delivery option for businesses that already have a delivery provider that they pay? For example, pizza shops? We pay to have delivery drivers and we can't use to clover option for deliveries. Plus, the $6.99 fee that doordash or other 3rd parties charge seems VERY pricey. Customers in this town won't pay that when they can just call the restaurant themselves and only be charged $3 for delivery..

    My customers love the clover app because they can accumulate points. I don't want to offer online ordering through another third party app because that's obnoxious.…

  7. Currently, the owner email receives notification when an online order fails to print; however, this isn't always the most effective communication option. Please add text notifications and/or a carbon copy to be sent to additional users/emails

  8. Merchant would like Longer preparation time for Clover online orders
    the merchant do catering and most customers order catering ahead of time. Some time 2 days in advance or longer.

  10. There should be an “Order Type” option for online orders to “Pickup at Drive Thru Window”. Customers ordering for pickup at the window are confused with the limited options because they don’t want “in-store” or “curb-side” pickup which are the only options available now.

  11. I LOVE that we have the ability to attach images of items to clover inventory for online ordering now... however the minimum size requirement for the images is set to 1600 x 1200 pixels which seems way too large for a minimum requirement. I'm assuming this was a mistake and just wanted to point it out for adjustment.

  13. When making online orders (as a customer), order items get saved to the history. But the order changes. An example - from a local taqueria:
    - Bean and cheese burrito
    - Add guacamole
    - No salsa fresca
    - Bean and rice burrito
    - Add guacamole
    - No salsa fresca
    - Carne Asada Burrito
    - Add guacamole

    becomes

    • Bean and cheese burrito
    • Add guacamole x3
    • No salsa fresca x2
    • Bean and rice burrito
    • Carne asada burrito

    This makes it impossible to simply reorder. It would be helpful if the items stayed the way they were ordered. (I do appreciate them being…

  14. Clover Customer App tether to the Clover POS while on same network as the restaurant. Ability for customer to place an order at their table from their phone and show up at the bar or counter POS and show what table they are at. Then cash out on the App.

  16. Merchant is requesting the old update for clover dining because the employees are ot seeing their name on the tables , when merchant make the table bigger we can see the employee name but because merchant have a big restaurant and a lot of tables we are not able to keep all the tables at a big size .
    please allow the employee name to show on smaller table sizes like it use to

  17. Our customers have continuously requested an option to add pictures to the online ordering so they know what they're ordering, such as Uber Eats, Grubhub and so on.

  18. In the orders app you can view all orders open or closed. When you click on an order you have a couple of options you can do. You can add a payment, re-open the order, combine the order with another one, etc.

    It would be an excellent feature if we could DUPLICATE AN ORDER here as well. For example, some of my merchants will have huge orders that get placed on a monthly basis so it would be nice if they can pull up the customers previous order and simply duplicate it so they dont have re enter the order…

  19. I do not see the need to print Server Name ( Owner’s name) on order receipt + date / time stamp for Online Orders ( both Ordering.app & Clover Ordering). Those information alone take 4” of receipt space.

  20. Looking for when you put in an address it will tell you if it is within your delivery range.

    ex: If I use a 3 mile radius, and you call and you are 4.5 miles away, then I ca have the option to override and bring you a delivery or just say no.

    ex: Ability to draw on a map ( like google map) where a delivery range is, and if the address inputted is outside of it we won't deliver.

    reason: not everyone knows geography around and want to eliminate having to drive "to far" for a delivery.
