Separating Items Reporting by Category
Our facility offers different menus (categories) at different locations on the same property sometimes at the same time. When running reports, it would be helpful to differentiate which items were sold at which location. Currently, the reporting system will only indicate an item in the category where it was first programmed. For example, if bottled water is being sold in multiple categories, it will only report sales in one of the categories. Please advise if there is a solution for this. Thanks!

Log for Clover Dining2
A log is critical for Clover Dining, similar to tables. Who opened the order, time opened, Changes (e.g. Add burger time, add drink times) , time order was fired, ...basic internal controls. Even half of this would be beneficial. It is difficult, even with cameras to track the sequence of POS activity when things go wrong. Process improvement and theft prevention.

Register and Clover Dining Apps Consistency
If a restaurant is using Clover Dining and takes a ToGo order through the non-table orders tab, the final disposition is "Fire All" or "Pay". However, if the order is placed through Register, the final disposition is "Save" or "Pay". Some restaurants find this confusing for servers. If a merchant is using Clover Dining, suggest the experience be the same no matter which app is used to place the order with the Clover Dining experience being the default.

How can we make Categories go away for certain time period ?
For example, merchant has Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner menu and the prices are not the same. Since they do have such a large menu they don’t want to see Dinner menu during breakfast time or breakfast menu during dinner.9 votes -
Order Receipt Breakdown - Urgent!
The order receipt that is printed to the kitchen is confusing staff who had just switched from an older system and they are confused because the items come in as they were entered chronologically. Instead, we juts need a simple feature to "Group Categories".
For example, Sandwiches, Sides, Etc.
Right now, line items:
1 Sandwich
1 Fries
1 Dessert
1 Sandwich

Multi device usage
We have a bar with 16 stations; 8 solos,3 minis, and 5 flex. We have a remote printer that fires cocktails to the bar. This is only on the flex devices that are used for table service. The problem is, if a table is opened on the flex, then a station is used to ring a drink, when the flex is used to ring another drink, the drink that was rang on the station(by a bartender, who then makes the drink)fires with the drink just rang on the flex. The service bartender makes both drinks, not knowing that one has…

Choose a printer manually for restaurants that have more than 1 bar
When a restaurant has more then 1 bar, we have no option to choose which one to print to. If we are using register and omit the printer labels on all of the alcohol items, it does pull up a list of all items on the order including food, but it lists all items individually to pick and choose the printer. This setting is based on "save and pay", which does not apply to Dining.
Could we have an option for "manual" print when assigning printer labels? That way we could assign that to all items where we need an…

Third Party Ordering Check Box, in addition to "On POS" or "Online"
We need a 3rd Party Ordering Check Box so we can have a separate Inventory/Menu, in the INVENTORY>ITEMS submenu so that we can price DoorDash etc independently, from our POS or our own Online Pricing

change inventory layout doesn't work, or is very delayed...
This is a bug, not a feature, but the tech support person told me to report it here. When you change the layout in an inventory category, it does not change on the online menu -- for days -- you should be able to immediately see your changes on the online menu, and not wait for some trigger/reset to happen.

Sub Categories
Many full service restaurants have large menus with MANY categories or they have the same item in their dinner and lunch menu but at different prices and/or portions. In clover, this results in FAR too many categories for a server to easily navigate. It would be great to have another layer of "sub-categorization" in the Clover Inventory. This can be to identify meal period (breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) or to separate out a bar menu from a food menu. I've lost many merchants to Toast for this specific feature.

inventory decriment
Currently the inventory doesn't decrease in restaurants for open checks. If someone orders an item that has to be decreased since there are limited items such as specials, etc.. or limited seasonal items, then for restaurants, the on hand count should decrease as the item is ordered. In current state, the inventory doesn't decrease until the check has been closed out and this gives false on hand counts which can cause servers to order items that have been depleted already. For restaurants, please decrease on hand counts when items have been fired to the printer instead of when the check…

Disable table colors changing to red in Dining when the tables are occupied for a long time
Would like the feature for tables that are occupied for a long time in Dining turning red to be removed or an option to be added to disable this feature.

Offer split check presentment.
Currently to print out split checks where 1 guest pays for another guest you have to move items to the paying guest and the print the bill. This adds unnecessary steps, falsely inflates guest check averages, and causes confusion for management, staff, and guests when evaluating bills. The cash out function allows you to pay for multiple guests on 1 payment, this functionality should be passed on to present the bills to the clients to pay.
