Management Functions

Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

7. Software Plans: Here you can provide feedback on Clover’s software plans. Please specify which plan your idea is featuring (Table Service Restaurants, Counter Service Restaurants, Register, Essentials, Payments).

8. Other Management Suggestions: Place your idea here if you have feedback that does not fit in any of the other forum categories.

  2. I am a Canadian Merchant and I have several clients who have asked about having the Bar Tab Auths application made available in Canada.

    They would like the app to include an auto close out in case the client leaves without closing off their tab (forgets to close tab / skips out).

  5. you need to let us see items without categories when we look at inventory on BOTH virtual site and machine how else can we correct things?????

  6. I want to be able to run a report that shows me all the inventory that has not had sales for 6 months or longer to recognize aged inventory that needs to be discounted and clearanced to sell.

    It tracks all the sales data, I just need it to show me what didn't sell within selected date ranges.

    1. Have the option to set it up to be the default value for all items added to the inventory. AND/OR
    2. Bulk edit to choose this option (Automatically manage availability) for the entire inventory/each items.

  7. i need to export my inventory by category , like all of my clothes are together, shoes together, jewelry together and so on ....my inventory is in sections throughout my store and being able to export by category would keep me from running all over the store A-Z ....currently the category will not export , the 3 dots at the top right will only enable you to delete !! NOT GOOD

  8. Restaurants need stock counts to have an option to decrease inventory when item is fired, not when item is paid. There should be a check box under the stock quantity section that will allow stock counts to automatically decrease when items are fired.

  9. Can't believe that product cost is not an option in the filter for inventory - The purpose of an inventory system is to see your inventory levels(count) and the COST . Yet there are other options that are nowhere near as critical - How this was left off is confusing .

  10. There is no way currently for a merchant using Clover Online Ordering to change the order that the menu categories show in. It would be great to be able to drag and drop these to change the "Layout" in the Online Ordering setting pages... just like it can be done within the inventory app for the category layout shown on the Register/Clover Dining screen.

  13. We are a Restaurant and we offer our customer discounts when they order online thru our website (instead Skip or Uber). But there is no option on Clover online ordering where we can do such. With our current online ordering platform we could issue a Coupon code and Customers could use that Code at checkout. Also that code will only work if customer spend more that X amount.

  14. Ability to select modifier sequence per individual item. The sequence is now determined by how modifiers are sequenced in the main Modifier section of the register. Sometimes it is difficult to match it to the desired sequence per individual item.

    Example: Item Pizza Combo
    Modifier position 1: Crust
    Modifier position 2: Size
    Modifier position 3: Toppings
    Modifier position 4: Drink

  16. moving items from the whole table to guests is a lengthy process on Clover . It is not possible to do it on one screen as the system keeps jumping back and “ … + move items “ which are 2 extra clicks per guest have to be clicked to move items to each guest.
    Solution for this :
    Adjust Clover settings so items can be moved to all appropriate guests on the same screen wthout jumping back to whole table screean.

  18. I want to be able to adjust the layout on the kitchen printer. For example i want to be able to print Hamburger first and then move the combo next to it and then underneath the selections i.e no onions no lettuce etc.

  19. After tapping the table number. The Display of the Menu in the flex is FORCED to be Categories & Items View. Its easier if it were on Category View, its easier to order than just scrolling right and left to find the item or use the search bar. Please implement a category view for the flex as in mini and station it is fine.
