Management Functions

Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

7. Software Plans: Here you can provide feedback on Clover’s software plans. Please specify which plan your idea is featuring (Table Service Restaurants, Counter Service Restaurants, Register, Essentials, Payments).

  1. So I just ordered food using this app and NOWHERE says when it's going to be ready. No idea if it'll be 10 mins or 30. That's a really important feature IMO. I had to call the restaurant and ask them when my food will be ready, which is inconvenient.

  2. Request to add quantity amounts to every order put in, as well as, the ability to create/customize orders. his shop sells donuts and he wants the customer to be able to 'build' the donuts (base, toppings, &icing)
    merchant is also wanting to add pictures to online ordering

  3. Merchant would like the ability to have the Clover Device decline partial payments when a card does have have the full funds. Due to fast-paced environment this has been an issue when it is over-looked.

  4. The ability to choose a specific Order Type for a device would be beneficial. If the device is togo only then merchant would like the receipts to have this already listed on them.

  5. The merchant would like the individual totals to show on the receipt when more than one item is purchased . For example 6 of the same items will just show one grand total instead of how much is one item.

  6. We have been offering To Go orders only since mid-March. In Ohio you charge

    tax of 8% on food and beverage when servicing in-house but no tax for food

    to go. We are allow to sell alcohol to go, which we need to charge tax of

    8%.

    We are currently using RESTAURANTOPS to manage the online ordering. They

    allow us to either use default tax or no tax - the no tax option works in

    Restaurantantops but not in Clover. To make it work for Clover, where no

    tax is charged for food but tax is charged for liquor and…

  7. Please add search functionality that will make it easier to locate a specific item. At this time the merchant has to scroll to locate the item which is time consuming.

  8. We have a lengthy list of offerings, and average customers will need to scroll a lot to find the items they may want. It would be great if it lets us just present only the list of Categories first, and then, items under the selected categories for easier browsing.

  10. Currently when a customer splits their tender, only the last tender type and amount shows on the printed receipt. All tenders show on the customer display. The receipt appears to be only partially paid when all tenders are not shown.

  13. Clover Dinning needs order numbers not just table numbers. Especially, for a fast pace taqueria where keeping track of tables isn't a necessity.

  14. Change on how discounts appear on the receipts.

    Reflect the net total against the amount paid and also show the total savings.

    Item name = $12.00
    Discount 60% = $7.20
    Item name = $5.00
    Discount 50% = $2.50


    Net Total = $17.00
    Amount Paid = $9.70
    Total Savings = $7.30

  16. Prospects wanting an itemized breakdown of taxes on payment receipt..Ex 1 line that shows sales tax...next line shows liquor tax...and then a total tax. Currently all taxes are rolled up into 1 line called TAX

  19. Merchant wants a option that when she presses category, inside category there is a custom item option when pressing that option that custom item goes under that category. Which Merchant needs this option because they have several vendors that they sell for, merchant has them set by category, And sells different things for those vendors.

  20. Being able to have subcategories for your categories and sub sub categories for those categories, then you don't need have to have one hundred different categories to chose
