Management Functions

Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

7. Software Plans: Here you can provide feedback on Clover’s software plans. Please specify which plan your idea is featuring (Table Service Restaurants, Counter Service Restaurants, Register, Essentials, Payments).

8. Other Management Suggestions: Place your idea here if you have feedback that does not fit in any of the other forum categories.

  1. When opening a tab – have the note section to name tab pop up first. Vs manually clicking on the 3 dots and clicking notes….Everyone always names a Tab.

  2. Beginning yesterday afternoon I have no access to my complete inventory. I cannot add labels to new inventory. When I click on inventory there is no way to see the title of what the inventory is. The whole thing changed and I would like to know if this is temporary because I do a lot of my business that way

  3. Currently the only tax options in Register/Register lite for Custom Items are No Tax or Default Tax. It would be valuable to be able to include whichever taxes are necessary on Custom Items.

  4. Please update the font on the receipts!

    The font on the receipt when using an "additional Charge" in "Setup"
    is the same font as the Subtotal!

    This is throwing off our customers. Please help! SOS.

    Change to the same font as the sales tax - which makes sense logically.

  6. Merchant would like the ability to add a percentage deduction from tip totals per employee in the shifts app to account for fees merchant has to pay for card processing.

  9. Please give an option to update the logo on the online ordering above the business information.

    That makes things easy for the customers to find the right restaurant they are irdering

  10. Merchant wants to be able to have a QR code for the customers to be able to order and pay there without asking all the info that it requires, as in phone number and the captcha security.

  11. Merchant would like to restrict the employee of doing a sale with 0.00, because went the employee save the order and they deleted the item,that give them the option of pay, so they can open the cash drawer like this, but the merchant still have the option of deleting items for is employees

  12. Currently, date/time stamp takes too much space and waste a lot of printer paper on kitchen printer. We should able to customize the font size in more levels. The date/time stamp's font should be smaller than customer name and food items' font.

  13. Currently, you open a new non-table order in Clover Dining or Register, users just need to select order type and pick menu items and save without the need of customer information. Employees will easily forget to enter customer data and we will have no idea whose order belongs to. So Customer info is a must have before enter any menu items!!! If employees do not enter customer info first, when they should not able to create any order!

  15. Merchant would like to request an enhancement for the Clover Online Ordering App so that the clients can select multiple modifiers when choosing their sides. I provided the workaround for adding them as items for the COLO only for the mean time.

  16. If the customer buys two coke for a 1.00 it going to be two dollars plus tax. He would like the item cost to appear on the receipt with the total of the items purchased so the customer know how much they are paying per item.

  17. Restaurant merchants would like the option to automatically print 2 CC receipts. Manually printing the 2nd copy adds an additional step.

  20. The Happy Hour App recently changed so now you can select items. However now if you want the entire category you have to go in and select ever item if you add a new item you have to go in to every happy hour special with that item you need to discount and select it. the option to do category or item would be great.
