Ability to edit Paid Orders
Requesting to be able to adjust or edit Orders after they have been paid. Mistakes happen where the wrong tender or item could have been selected. For instances like that, Admins should be able to make corrections when necessary, regardless if the Order is Paid or not... especially while the customer is still present and the batch is open.
Hello,
We have started the work to enable an "ability to edit paid orders".
Thank you so much for your feedback,

Yes yes yes! When our servers make a mistake and close out the wrong table with a payment, the process to refund and completely rebuild the order takes forever - especially for a high volume restaurant on a busy night... we are sacrificing sales and service to do this and it should just be simple manager approval to void the sale / re-open the table so we can fix any issue that came up.

Every major platform used by high volume restaurants has this ability; re-open a paid order when a mistake has been made (i.e. server closed the wrong table or customer finds an error after payment). With the ability to re-open a table that has been paid should provide a voided payment as well.

There should be a way to void or remove the payment on a closed order without having to re enter the order.

If an incorrect tab was paid, an option to give permissions for re-opening an order after it is paid would be a huge time saver as the entire order needs to be re-entered from scratch today.

If a server accidentally Close out the wrong table with payment and you refund payment it does not allow you to re-open the first order. It only allows you to add payment.
So if the table is not finished you either have to run their card twice for two different transactions or you have to re-ring in their whole order under a new table -

In restaurants and bars there is a need to add items to an order after it has been refunded or partially paid. Imagine a server accidentally marks the wrong order as paid by cash. It would be great to refund that payment so that table can continue ordering and then apply the payment to the right table (instead of rekeying the whole order). Its understandable to dissallow addition of items to a paid order, but it seems like a good idea to explore the possibility of adding items to refunded or partially paid orders.

If one customer, as part of a group, pays for their item(s) on an order no amendments or additions can be made to the now partial order. Merchants should have to ability to amend and add items to the partial order.

The merchant called because he wanted to know how to modify orders that have been partially paid order

Not exactly. We need to add to partially paid orders because we sell ice cream, cakes, pies and brownies at the cash register. We lose too many sells because someone has paid on an order at a table and the next three are paying with cards and want a brownie. When I tell them I can’t add it I’ll need to do another transaction they say never mind that’s too much trouble. We need sells. Makes us and Clover more profitable.

Some businesses require paid deposits yet need to keep the ticket open so that other items can be added to the order at the customer visit.
