Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

7. Software Plans: Here you can provide feedback on Clover’s software plans. Please specify which plan your idea is featuring (Table Service Restaurants, Counter Service Restaurants, Register, Essentials, Payments).

  1. I have a QSR merchant that is counter-service with cashier's, we've been playing with a few ideas for theft prevention as one of the most common ways for employees to steal from the restaurant is manipulating the till.

    As a QSR restaurant, they have a very small menu and the prices are very easy to memorize for the cashiers. What is concerning is that the cashier can keep the till open without any alarm, alert, or any notice to the management whatsoever.

  2. I do like that now it is possible to color code a category -- and thru the dashboard, choose to have that color to apply to all items in that category. HOWEVER -- if you add a new item to a category, it does NOT automatically become that color! You have to go back, every single time, and then click a bunch of stuff to make each new item your color. Point is -- if I want all beers in my 16oz. Pint category to be orange -- then let my choice persist! If I add a new beer to…

  3. Please allow inventory counts for all items including the DoorDash Drive orders that appear in my orders app. My inventory is currently not affected by any DoorDash orders and it could easily be a big problem. Right now the only way to prevent selling a sold out item is to make the item unavailable for both clover online orders and DoorDash orders, which is unsatisfactory.

  6. Sales Activity -> Transactions -> Refunds

    When we are in the Details of a refund there is no option to Send Receipt. Can we get the button to Send Receipt similar to the Payments tab? As it stands it is far too manual a workaround process to manually send a refund receipt to a customer when one is requested.

  7. For a smoother and efficient process for the kitchen (especially when we have a big group) allow the system to always populated the appetizers to the top of the ticket and deserts is always populated to the bottom

  8. The option to email the closeout report has been removed from the Dashboard with a recent update. This is problematic for merchants that only use Clover Go. There is also no setting in the Clover Go app that allows for this as well. Please bring back the setting to email the closeout report either on the Dashboard or in the Clover Go app.

  9. employee permission on what they can view. when my staff opens up to create an invoice all my total sales show on the screen. i do not want my staff to see that. it should only show create invoice and in another screen there should be previous invoices. and screen should be accounting reports

  10. We need the ability to use the app to LOG OUT staff who forgot to log out and LOG IN staff who forgot to log in. Make life easier and have less payroll issues.

  11. It would be nice to be able to download the staff - codes - roles to excel. So we can easily see user codes. We have staff that works at two of our companies and it would be nice to easily see what codes they are using to build in other companies.
    Or if we have linked companies ..... have an option to build them in more then one company at time of building.

  12. Merchant would like to filter orders by tax rate. That way it is easier to determine which transactions and orders have which tax applied to them to ensure rules by order type is working.

  13. With online ordering, we can printing items to kitchen using the alternate name but cannot do so with modifiers? That is a big issue for us because our alternate name is in Vietnamese and our kitchen staff cannot read English. I'm not sure why that was not developed when developing the online order since it prints fine when we enter the orders with items and modifiers with the devices.

  17. I'm at the corporate office and have 40+ Clover locations. It is difficult to deal with Clover support. First of all, the staff isn't well trained. I've actually called with the same issue and have gotten different answers. We've had 3 escalated tickets within the last couple months closed with no resolution. I tried to respond to the email with screenshots to find out that you cannot respond to the email from the escalation team. I had to call to reopen the tickets.   18. I have bottle deposits listed as one of the tax rates (I do not see another way to do deposits). Now we have 12 different tax rates. (See Below).

  19. Clover online ordering does not work on:
    MacOS Venture 13.5.1
    Chrome Version 116.0.5845.140 (Official Build) (x86_64)

    It allows the user to add items to the cart, but the cart will not open and there is no way to complete the order. As a work around, I can open Safari and re-enter my entire order. This has been a problem for at least a year.

  20. For takeaway orders in the UK, there are different VAT rules to eat-in orders. We need the ability to force the takeaway Section in the Dining App to use a different order type to that used in the Seated Sections. The ability to select it in the Register App means that the wrong order type can be selected; which has implications in assigning the correct VAT treatment to the items ordered.
