Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Management Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover management software to help merchants run their business simply and easily. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in management functions (feedback on business management apps should be included in the Apps/App Marketplace forum). We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Clover Dashboard Functionality: Share your thoughts on how the Clover Dashboard as a whole can function more effectively. 

2. Restaurant Menus and Clover Dining: Share your thoughts on all functions that specifically have to do with Clover Dining such as Clover’s built-in menu creation feature.

3. E-Commerce Management/Clover Online Ordering: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers e-commerce management software including Clover Online Ordering.

4. Inventory/Order Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers inventory management software.

5. Receipt Management: Provide ideas related to order receipts here including kitchen receipts, customer receipts and merchant copies. Tell us how Clover can enhance the processing of, information on, and appearance of various types of receipts.

6. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

7. Software Plans: Here you can provide feedback on Clover’s software plans. Please specify which plan your idea is featuring (Table Service Restaurants, Counter Service Restaurants, Register, Essentials, Payments).

  1. Please make the Employee filter in reporting searchable. Merchants (Taxis) may have 600 employees to drop down through...needs to be a searchable field.

  3. I'm at the corporate office and have 40+ Clover locations. It is difficult to deal with Clover support. First of all, the staff isn't well trained. I've actually called with the same issue and have gotten different answers. We've had 3 escalated tickets within the last couple months closed with no resolution. I tried to respond to the email with screenshots to find out that you cannot respond to the email from the escalation team. I had to call to reopen the tickets.   4. I have bottle deposits listed as one of the tax rates (I do not see another way to do deposits). Now we have 12 different tax rates. (See Below).

  5. Clover online ordering does not work on:
    MacOS Venture 13.5.1
    Chrome Version 116.0.5845.140 (Official Build) (x86_64)

    It allows the user to add items to the cart, but the cart will not open and there is no way to complete the order. As a work around, I can open Safari and re-enter my entire order. This has been a problem for at least a year.

  6. For takeaway orders in the UK, there are different VAT rules to eat-in orders. We need the ability to force the takeaway Section in the Dining App to use a different order type to that used in the Seated Sections. The ability to select it in the Register App means that the wrong order type can be selected; which has implications in assigning the correct VAT treatment to the items ordered.

  9. I am a vender in central Florida and have number of customers that are visiting.
    There is a growing number that buy items and request to have them shipped to their home across the US.

    The Clover device does not allow for shipping to be added without taxing the shipping cost. This presents a challenge in accounting and customers question the tax cost.

    Is it possible for develop the program to add shipping without adding ang cost.

  10. Merchant would like to be able to narrow down an employee's reporting access to a specific inventory category or order type, rather than an all or nothing for Reporting. For example, they have an employee who manages their events. They would like that employee to have access to sales reporting ONLY for the Events category, not ALL sales reporting. Otherwise, all sales reporting access must be disabled and another member of management has to pull and edit the reporting before sending to the events manager.

  11. The ability to email multiple addresses, separated by a comma or semi-colon, should be available directly from the charge processing screen. Currently, you can only email to 1 addresses then must go to transactions, after you submit the payment, open the transaction and send duplicate receipt, also, 1 address at a time.

  12. This new accounting sync is a great idea but in the setup in sale-accountant section it needs to either have the option to customize the categories according to what you have or than it should automatically list them according to your categories that are setup in your clover device.

  13. I currently have my online delivery orders getting assigned to a doordash driver through the DoorDash Drive setup. I would like for my instore delivery orders to be routed to doordash for a delivery driver to be assigned, just like my online orders.

    Perhaps a field for selecting delivery time so that orders aren't made too far in advance.

  14. Need to be able to make the table of new customers a special color so that everyone knows it is a first- or second-time customer. have it put on order in kitchen that it is there first time. to alert all staff.

  15. We have three locations that all take on-line orders through the Clover App. The app shows all three locations when the customer does a search, but shows the same photo/logo/name which makes it very difficult for the customer to tell if they are ordering from the correct location. For us it's more confusing because the locations have addresses on the same street name 2063 and 260 so they are constantly choosing the incorrect location.
    Each location should be able to choose it's own name, photo, logo just like we can do with the menu, hours etc.

  16. Ability to run any report on the Multi-Location Dashboard
    Right now we can only run the basic sales overview reports which is not helpful in trying to manage inventory, people, etc across multiple locations.
    1. A critical report would be Sales by Item by Location by date that includes quantities, transaction/order ID, item name, discount, employee.
    2. A report with Inventory by location in one report with the ability to see all items across all locations with any variance in cost, price, modifiers, categories, labels, revenue classes. It's very difficult when trying to sync items across locations to have to…

  19. Under an inventory item, it would be helpful to see a 25%, 30%, 35%, 40% margins option near the cost and price lines. So staff can put in an item cost, and then just hit the percentage margin and have the price automatically calculated. Other POS systems have this capability. Saves time not having to pull out a margin calculator on our phone for every item.

  20. Our business is a grooming salon and our receptionist cashes payments. Therefore the name of the receptionist is on the receipt, but not the groomer who the tip belongs too. There should be a way to assign a service provider to a ticket to account for tips and commission! This seems like a basic feature that any service business needs.
