Welcome to the feedback forum for Clover Reporting Functions. Please share your ideas for how we can update our Clover reporting software to help merchants run their business more effectively. Specifically, this forum should only include ideas surrounding built in reporting functions. We are listening and we use this feedback to prioritize our roadmap.


Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Reporting Functionality: Ideas here should explicitly focus on the practicality and usefulness of Clover’s reporting feature. Is it easy to customize filters? Is the frequency at which reports generated sufficient?

2. Reporting Tips, Taxes, and Service Charges: This category should distinctively include all feedback regarding Clover reports producing intelligence on tips, taxes, and service charges.

3. Employee Reporting: This category should distinctively include all feedback regarding Clover reports producing intelligence on employees.

4. Inventory/Order/Customer/Sales Reporting: This category should distinctively include all feedback regarding Clover reports producing intelligence on inventory, orders and customers. This also includes reporting on sales/revenue.

  1. Need to know how to get a report of my inventory that includes the categories of the items which could be sorted by category to give total value of inventory by category.

    Currently there is an option to export inventory and it contains lots of useful information, but the column for 'Category' is non-existent in the export.

    Business owners / Managers need the ability to track inventory value by category (For example, Beer/Wine, Liquor, General Merchandise, Tobacco, etc.) for tax purposes and other reasons.

  3. Would it be possible to either put in the sales report, in the summary of the sale's report per devices directly or if we can a search by name tool (search tool to type the name and not just selecting it) or to have the device names in alphabetical order or a way to filter it to make it easier to find what we are looking for per devices. With 30+ terminals some can get lost in find each information per device one by one.

  4. We really need the ability to print out a z-out report at the end of a shift. That has been one of my top complaints about the system. I have had people leave me for Square because we do not have this functionality. This should be applied to all Clover devices.

  5. It's been an issue for our merchants who want to have the daily closeout / batch report emailed to someone at their company who is not the owner.

    Clover does not have the ability to have the automated batch report go to a controller, Cfo or someone in the accounting dept. It can only be sent to the email associated with the Owner of the Clover account.

    Seems like an easy fix. Can we get it done?

  6. Allow for hourly sales report to be filtered down to show revenue class or category sales totals by the hour. For example, how much food was sold between 10 and 11? How much alcohol between 1 and 2 am? Only total sales will show by hour and items report is too much to sort through and analyze.

  7. The merchant would like to be able to see who sold a specific item when viewing items report via the device instead of having to access the dashboard and filter each employee individually.

  8. Please implement date specific inventory reports. For taxes at the end of the year retail stores need to be able to do inventory reports from 1/1/21 to 12/31/21 and there is no such feature available on inventory reports.

  9. I would love to be able to print a list of every transaction that i've done in a year with out having to copy and past separate reports together. Currently I am only allowed to pull up 3 months at a time, so to get a years worth I have to do 4 separate searches, export the data, and then combine them myself.

  10. Merchants should have the option to take a return or exchange and be given the option to damage out the item and then be able to run a report showing all damaged out items, OR be given the option to simply return an item to inventory.

  11. I've had multiple full service restaurants ask for some reporting related to daily guest count. Not order count or transaction count... but something that relates back to # of guest served... this data coming from the number of served guests at each table in the Clover Dining app. This would be very beneficial for measuring server efficiency since 10 tables with 8 guests would be far more work than 10 tables of 4 guests

  12. Would like to have the ability to pull one report with everything we need instead of having to use an additional service or pull multiple reports and attempt to match the info.

    Merchant Name, Employee Name, Date, Time, Payment Type, Card Type, Item Name, Item Cost, Item Refund.

  13. I need a separate Tax Line added to Invoices located under Virtual Terminal. I do not want to keep having to just add the sales tax to the totals box and making a note. For easier reporting purposes it would be much easier if a separate Sales Tax line would be added to Transaction type "Invoices"

  14. Make it to where an employee will only see their individual report and not the report for every employee. I do not want Employee A to see Employee B's report. They should not see the tips for that employee. I thought this was how the system was setup a few months ago but it appears that is no longer an option

  15. I am an ISO agent and am currently signing-up merchants for payment processing in the tourism industry which relies heavily on agent sales and commissions. Many of these merchants will purchase large volumes of Clover Flexes to accommodate their operations. One merchant alone will be purchasing 28 Clover Flexes. These merchants all have the same complaint and that is that the Flex does not support commissions reporting. This would be such a simple modification and would be useful to a wide audience of merchants who pay by commissions. Here's how it can be done in two simple steps:

  18. Give customers the option to Print their inventory, including item quality, from both the device and the dashboard. This is especially usual for tracking information at night. Also, it would be helpful if merchants had the option to print the inventory items by category.

  20. Merchants need to be able to pull historical reports that reflect the COGS/liability report reflecting the cost/count AT THE TIME OF THE REPORT, not the current item cost/count.
