Welcome to the Clover Restaurant Forum. You're here because you are a Clover Restaurant merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Restaurant space.

Clover Dining: Ideas related to table management and the Clover Dining experience.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

For clover online ordering we need to be able to use 'delivery' as a fulfillment method (not a 3rd party, our own delivery) - so that we can deliver to customers seamlessly - Clover USA has this, but Clover Canada does not, Canadian customers simply need access to the programs you already have but made available in our country. If turned on - customers can choose delivery, add an address and pay the fee with their checkout, will print a receipt with a delivery address (even better an address and unique QR code that the driver can scan which opens…

  2. Ability to select a modifier multiple times on the Clover Kiosk like you can do on the Clover Station Duo.

    This is relevant for QSR locations like coffee shops, bubble tea and dessert locations where a modifier can be selected up to 5x times. There can also be 30+ modifiers in these types of QSR locations.

  3. We would like if there was a way to have pop-up prompts come up before moving on to certain fields like asking the customer count before food ordering or ringing out! This has become important to us to have because by example the restaurant is all you can, missing inputting the customer number count can greatly affect business, what will happen is that the employee will move onto orders or payments with out filling this out, so maybe only one person of a table of six will be charged!   4. Restaurant software offers the options to add service charge, restaurant owners want service charge by order type, if the order type in MAIN has a different percentage than another order type, they want the ability to to charge different % amount by order type take out vs main dining

  6. Please enable promo code / discount option for customers ordering online. This is must have feature for small restaurant businesses in Canada. Upon have a discussion with your representative, this service seems not being activated in Canada.

  7. Disable Checkout for Dine-In QR Code ordering. We would like to disable the feature for customers to Checkout for Dine-In QR Code ordering so our servers can process the payment for them. This creates some confusion because we don't know when someone has paid for their tab already.

  8. Currently, doordash integration on the Clover Online Ordering only offers the pickup option and merchant needs the ability to have both pickup and delivery fulfilment options.

  9. The updated 3Gen Solo device does not feature a tap or apple option like the 2Gen did on the printer. Why not set up the Flex device to have the same capabilities as a Mini device does but used at the drive thru widow? Then we can actually extend the device to the customer to tip and tap right out the window.

  10. Give customers who are sitting in the restaurant the ability to order from their table under their own individual tab. While currently you can order from the table with the print table barcode function, this only allows items to be added to the whole table, and not under each guests individual tab. Sorting the ordered items to the correct guests afterwards would take too much work and would lead to more order mixups, especially as you cannot currently name each guest.

  11. My merchant sells food the pound and is using clover with a weight scale, he would like to be able to enter manually the pounds in the clover when he is selling future orders for holidays etc... without actually weighting the product at the time of placing he order. The clover doesn't let him enter the quantity in pounds typed only coming from the weight scale... is this something Clover can do using the weight scale or there is a solution to this issue? Thank you

  12. For Online Orders- I want to be able to apply "Happy Hour" deals so that I can do a 2 for 1 discount specifically on a category or item. Please allow Happy Hour to reflect in the Online Ordering ( Clover App ) or for third party apps to contribute to quantity discounts/specials.

  13. Issue: Missing Uber Eats Item Notes in Clover

    Problem:
    Customer item notes from Uber Eats do not appear in Clover, causing inefficiencies and forcing merchants to disable notes.

  15. Merchants who are using CSR plan would like to eliminate the lengthy process of getting to print bill especially when they are busy. Can you please add that feature to the Register App so merchant can print bill right from register instead of going to Orders>Reissue Receipt>Print Bill? Thank you.

  16. The app made by Clover, called Order Inspector, does NOT support the Clover Kiosk or the Clover Flex. We are asking Clover to make Order Inspector available on the Clover Kiosk and the Clover Flex that are widely used devices.

    This is the only App made by Clover, available on the Clover App Marketplace that allows you to view, print and email a report of all orders for your own records or for external auditors.   17. Need to be able to select to recieve and email or text of each transaction when it happens, just like if you send an invoice to someone you get notified they paid it.

  18. Is it possible on the order receipt to have Surcharge information available. With a sit-down restaurant without a handheld device, the order receipt is presented to the customer and then payment is taken. Having the transparency to have the surcharge amount on the receipt to show the total after the surcharge, so the order receipt presented to the customer and the payment receipt when surcharge applies alligns

  19. Order receipt DOTTED LINE format option doesn’t work with Star 700 kitchen printer.
    When using the Large Font along with the dotted lines, the dotted lines wrap to two lines instead of only one.

  20. Until around mid-April 2024, it was possible to view a tips breakdown in the Employee Sales report on the Clover POS devices. The total tip amount for each employee was broken down into "DoorDash Dasher tips" and "Employee tips". "DoorDash Dasher tips" are tips left by customers for online orders delivered through DoorDash Drive, while "Employee tips" are tips actually received by the employee for dine-in orders. It is no longer possible to view this information on the Clover device itself, and accessing the Dashboard is now the only way to view the tips breakdown. I am not sure why…
