Welcome to the Clover Retail Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Retail merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Retail space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Retail Categories.



Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Order: Ideas relating to the process of creating and managing Orders.

2. Items & Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

3. Website: Ideas related to your Clover branded website.

4. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

5. Customer Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

6. Reporting & Analytics: Share your ideas to improve or enhance Clover's reporting functionality.

  2. A way to upload a file for tax rates would be beneficial for the VT merchants that have to manually choose tax rates based on where they are shipping goods. Right now each tax rate has to be manually uploaded if they do not have items.

  3. As a service business owner in Canada, I'd love to see a plug in swipe reader brought north of the border - right now our only option is Square. Would love to see this in Clover

  4. In the Tax Report, could you please Hyper-link the Tax Removed-applicable Sales amount. We would like to see the transactions where the taxes were removed,

  5. Would be nice if it included everything when you export reports. Example the ship to address for sales tax use. At the moment we have to go back into the transaction to get the address and put it in manually.

  7. Include Discount Button(s) on Payment Screen (rather than having to choose it on order screen). Guests do not usually present discount cards until the payment process, so we find cashiers having to back out, click the discount pull-down, then choose a discount. Having up to 2 discounts and a third button that links to existing discount pop-up) would save time and effort.

    Having up to 3 discount buttons would be great!

  9. Any data older than 30 days is no longer stored on the Clover POS device, forcing users to access a computer for this information. This change impacts business operations by requiring additional equipment that was previously unnecessary, leading to a negative customer experience. I expect this issue to become more significant in the retail environment as we approach the holiday season when returns over 30 days are more common. Additionally, we can no longer search by a customer's last name, nor can we see if they received a discount or used reward points, which affects merchant profit margins.

  10. most of my menu items have 3 sizes/prices. To save room, I have the item listed, and clicking the item reveals the sizes and prices. This is fine. My issue, is that the item itself shows a price of $0.00. That's confusing and embarrassing. I suggest that if a price is set to $0.00, the price should not show at all. I have several items, so to save space and lots of customer scrolling to find their items they want, this system works best for our online menu. i don't want to have to triple the size of my online…

  11. No Cash Option for EBT
    We would like a way to make it so the merchant can shut off the "cash" option for EBT/SNAP benefits when checking out a customer.

  12. When entering stock quantities, the staff is able to add more than the amount stocked to check...why? Isn't that the entire reason for adding the stocked quantity?

  13. There was an option within an order that would take you directly to the customer's profile (marked by a blue box with a pencil inside of it, just below the employee's name that was taking the order). Can you please add that back in? I noticed it missing about 8 days ago. I thought it was a setting on my end, but it was due to a software update.

  14. recently CRA audited us and they did not like your logged version of transaction since they were looking for the actual receipts. Please add a toggle button to turn on/off 2 receipts under printing setting. I was very disappointed to learn that Clover has removed this option to print 2 receipts at the same time and now its manually done.

  15. As a business owner, the most basic and essential promo of buy one get one free (BOGO) is missing in your features and there is no good way of doing this. I would think all of your customers would benefit from being able to run that type of a promotion. It could be for the same item, or it could be for select comparable items, or even at a category level. This is not a reward. It is intended to be a promotion to get customers in the door.

  16. I am looking for a report that will provide the following in a single report by item:
    1. Item name
    2. item price next to it
    3. sales tax amount related to the item. If item is Non Taxable it should reflect zero tax next to it.
    There are not reports in in clover that shows this information. I just spent 3 hours on the phone, and went up to a supervisor level and the best that they could do is send me to this site to put a request, and maybe get a resolution in the future. Assuming it…

  17. Who in their right mind at Clover just made the NET greater than the TOTAL (gross total) on the reports? Net is BEFORE TAXES. In other words just the product!!! FIX the change you just made to your reports cause it WRONG!

  18. As it stands, DAILY SALES figures are only accessible in REPORTING. Therefore, employees that balance registers have full access to company sales figures for the entire year and beyond. Access to yearly/monthly/weekly sales figures & sales reports should be limited to owners/senior management. Clover needs an END OF DAY icon. It should have a filter for ALL REGISTERS, REGISTER #1, REGISTER #2, etc without having the ability to see weekly, monthly, yearly figures. This needs to be addressed ASAP.   19. Customer purchase history needs to be able to be transferred from one Clover sales channel to another. At this time there is no 3rd party app to assist with purchase history - only customer name. This is important for repeat business and for the merchant to engage on going with their customers.
