Welcome to the Clover Retail Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Retail merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Retail space. 

In order to submit your idea you'll need to give it a Title then select the Category that best matches your idea.  Below are brief descriptions of the Clover Retail Categories.



Here are quick descriptions of each category so that you can easily locate and post ideas in the correct place!


1. Order: Ideas relating to the process of creating and managing Orders.

2. Items & Inventory: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clover’s inventory management software.

3. Website: Ideas related to your Clover branded website.

4. Employee Management: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

5. Customer Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

6. Reporting & Analytics: Share your ideas to improve or enhance Clover's reporting functionality.

  2. You should include multiple ways to view your inventory, such as a bar graph so we can quickly see how much we have of each product.

  3. Please improve the template on your payment receipts. I have a wine shop, and we do a lot of volume discounts for our customers. Your current receipt template is confusing, as it just lists the total cost next to the item. For example, if a customer buys 12 bottles of a wine, the receipt just shows the total amount on the line item. For a sale like that, we offer a 20% standard discount, but again, your receipt just shows the total amount of the discount.

    What would make things easier is if you could format the receipt so it…

  4. 1) Need a way to add new/existing item to a different order type on clover machine, not only on clover's website under Sales & taxes tab.

    2) If item is not added in a given order type, that item should not be allowed to be a part of that specific order type transaction.

  5. “Points towards perks” should actually reflect points. I entered a receipt code from a $3k, purchase the receipt said “Get 3707 points towards perks”. Then I entered a code from the same establishment where my receipt said “Get 12000 points towards perks”. I got the same exact 5% off QR for the $12k purchase as the first purchase. So there are no points - this is a garbage gimmick. And if the “point reward” is chosen by the vendor, perhaps you should advise them that not offering a “reward” would be better than finding out they give everyone the same…

  6. I have items that are buy 4 get one free or buy 4 and get $4 off. I would love for these discounts to be attached to this items so when I change the quantity it automatically applies

  7. A recent update took away the option to view online and in-store orders on the same screen in the orders app on the device. There is an option to filter between orders, but it does not have all orders as an option, so it makes managing orders tedious

  8. Recently Clover released a new version of the Employee Sales Report under Reporting. The previous employees report showed the total number of transactions ran that day per employee. This was helpful for my retail merchants for a number of reasons. One in particular was so they can calculate their employees average ticket size.

    Strangely enough the New Employee sales report does show the average ticket size but it is only available and viewable on the Employee Sales Report in the Dashboard. not on the devices :(

    That being said a vast majority of my retail merchants noticed the change immediately…

  9. Customers click onto our website will see our logo & branding, then to order > click onto "Order Online" that directs to Clover platform which immediately turns into green. There is no customisation for us other than adding our own logo. We should be able to customise our own brand colour on those banners. It should NOT be difficult to fix. Not Clover green. Clover shouldn't be promoting itself at our cost!!!!

  10. The Clover does not allow for more advanced searching capabilities such as plu for grocery stores which is crucial for business with large inventory and bulk inventory. When My merchant searches let's say 222 it comes up with all items that have 222 in them and the grocery store assistant has to scroll down forty plus options to get to the item. My merchant told me a 20 year old dos pos can do it so a 20th century pos should be able to do it at bare minimum. This is going to lose you business and needs to be…

  11. add option to hide any single or multiple buttons on the print/email receipt screen after transaction. also the ability to set a limit on how many times the print button will print a receipt. (10 presses results in 10 printed receipts) Currently there is only the option to not display the screen or display the screen.

  14. Customer's shipping cost should not be taxed. There should be an option on the web dashboard to separate shipping amount out from item cost so that sales tax is calculated only on item cost and not on item cost plus shipping.

  15. Please fix online ordering. The text bleeds out of the text container.

    For items with long descriptions the text bleeds outside the box and looks really bad. Multiple accounts all with the same issues.

  16. It would be great if the register interface had more options for how it displayed. I have a wine shop, and we do not need categories or items to the right side of where items show up in the register app. For us, it would be ideal to have just a simple and bigger interface to see customer orders as we scan them.

    It would also be fantastic if there was a way to add the total # of units in a customer order. We like to double check on larger orders that the # of wine bottles going into…

  17. I had square and could sync my customer data to my email platform (Moosend), now I see that I need to purchase an app, however I can't find one that offers compatibility with moosend and I'm not going to switch my email platform. I also can't believe what cost me nothing extra per month (Square), I now have to nickel and dime to add on apps to provide the same features I once had before. I wish there was more INCLUDED with clover.

  19. I can delete one customer at a time, but I cannot delete all my customers and start fresh. Please add that option.

  20. Sometimes due to whatever reason, a few customer's online order will not get sent to the printer and Clover will send an email notification. It would be best if the order is attempted to be resent to the printer to prevent any misunderstanding or inconvenience. Not all merchants have access to their email to check for missing orders so just an email notification is not the best solution.
