Welcome to the Clover Retail Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Retail merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Retail space.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.
Clover GO: Clover GO is a mobile POS system designed for businesses that need to accept payments on the go.

  1. It would be helpful- as a small business - to get an email notification of each transaction as they are entered- so any modifications or corrections are required--

  2. Till Management, or Cash Drawer Management, should be a core product offering. There is a severe lack of reporting and controls in high volume retail environments where cash drawers are reconciled multiple times per day with multiple tenders. The development appears to be available in the Clover Sport product set and should be included in all plan levels.

    This would be highly useful at all levels and it is surpassing that it has not been deployed.

    Additionally:
    1. Assigning cash drawers to users seems logical given that there are 2 drawer ports on the hub.

  3. There is currently no way to edit a variant item name. You can edit the overall name of the product, but not the variant. You have to delete the variant and then reupload, which means having to re-enter the price, cost, SKU, product code, stock, categories, modifiers, and more. It adds a massive amount of time when you have to do multiple.

  4. The bulk edit cost used to exist, and this new version of Clover has removed it. It adds HOURS to our inventory. We are able to edit everything else we need in bulk - price, SKU, product, and more, but we have to click in to each individual item to edit the cost, and it is incredibly time consuming and frustrating.

  5. We do not have the ability to turn a normal product into a variant item. This makes things difficult with having to delete and then recreate the item. It would also be great to be able to merge items into one variant item. For example, if I have 15 separate items, I would love to be able to merge them all into one larger item with variants.

  6. we are a retail store with 2 locations that sell the same items, and we used to be able to easily update our inventory information for both locations at the same time from one screen, but that option seems to have gone away, and now it takes way too long and is a royal pain in the butt to make changes. And uploading the changes on a spreadsheet just doubles the items instead of overwriting the existing information, so we have to go in and delete the old items.   7. Go back to having a closing reports which summarizes the totals per type of card being printed in the location. Advise customers of changes before.

  8. Businesses need a P&L report that shows a breakdown of the income like on the Sales Overview, but also breaks out YOUR fees between loan fees and credit card fees as it does on the deposits report and COGS like on the item sales report... I have to run those 3 reports 4 times each for a total of 12 reports to give my manager the P&L numbers!! You're already pulling all the data for the reporting, just consolidate it better..

  9. Need to be able to allow over 100 qty for a transaction in a single transaction. We offer catering and when we serve over 100 people, we can't charge in a single transaction over 100 people.

  10. We sell fuel by the gallon which is usually measured to the tenth of a gallon, IE 10.2 gallons. The Clover only allows us to pick a whole number which doesn't allow us to charge the customer the proper amount without doing a custom item for just the sale price. This doesn't allow the customer to see what fuel quantity they purchased on their receipt. This would also help companies that sell items by weight.

Now clover only provide closeout automatic every day. but for the business that do not have lots of transaction or sometime have a big amount transaction, the business owner want to make closeout manually or can set up the closeout for every 2 days or every week. this is convenient tool to every Clover user.

  13. The recent change to the POS Sales Overview Report has information on it that we do not need. The choice between full and condensed is insufficient. Full is too much and condensed is not enough. We do not do cash posting through Clover therefore do not require those features nor do we require the Sales by Employee. It would be great to be able to select the features needed on the report rather than the catch all. We are using far more thermal paper because of the recent change to the report.

  14. We need the following option in order to create an automatic discount on certain items bought together.
    1. The ability to bundle items together, to create a new item in the inventory. When this bundle item is bought, all items in the bundle are removed from inventory.

    Real life example: if you buy item A, it is $8. If you buy item B, it is $10. If you want to buy both together, it is $15. It is currently impossible to apply this bundle discount on the Online Menu ordering. Also, it can easily be forgotten by employees in shop,…

  15. Since I am giving my staff commission on membership packages sold as well as commissions on products sold, it would be convenient to apply these commission percentages when closing out a sale. This would make it easy to track no only their tipping but obtain the percentage of the products or services sold.

  16. PLEASE , I beg of you to make COST a bulk edit item, not just Price, When entering a long list from a Purchase order it is ridiculously tedious and time consuming to add each item, variants, then price and have to tap back in to every item to add cost. You HAVE to have Cost associated with Price in order to Map a COGS report . I am so frustrated with this.

  18. Currently, when we have someone come in to the store and they want to buy two gift cards, lets say one gift card for $10 and another for $20, we have to break this out into two separate transactions. May we please upgrade the system to enable this?? Drives us nuts!! TY!

  19. With the new Service Growth SaaS plan, it would be of high value to the Merchants and their customers, if customers were able to book / change / cancel appointments and purchase electronic Clover gift cards, directly from the customer's Clover app.

  20. The same way money is added to the Gift Card should be the same way the card is used. For Example: Customer wants $20 on a gift card. Customer gives me the cash, I swipe the gift card to add the $20. But when the customer comes back to use the gift card, they have to give me the card to me to type in each number for the Gift Card to process payment. The customer should be able to swipe the card for payment and not have to give the card to me to type in the numbers. The…
