Welcome to the Clover Retail Forum.  You're here because you are a Clover Retail merchant and would like to submit ideas that you feel would enhance/improve Clover's current offerings in the Retail space.

Employees: Please include all your feedback and suggestions for enhancing Clovers employee management software. This includes permissions, viewing and editing employee roles, employee satisfaction, scheduling, owner access and more. If you have tipping suggestions, please include these ideas in the Tipping category of the Taking Payments forum.

Engagement: Share your thoughts on Clover’s built-in software that allows businesses to manage customers including viewing/storing customer information.

  1. Businesses need a P&L report that shows a breakdown of the income like on the Sales Overview, but also breaks out YOUR fees between loan fees and credit card fees as it does on the deposits report and COGS like on the item sales report... I have to run those 3 reports 4 times each for a total of 12 reports to give my manager the P&L numbers!! You're already pulling all the data for the reporting, just consolidate it better..

  2. Need to be able to allow over 100 qty for a transaction in a single transaction. We offer catering and when we serve over 100 people, we can't charge in a single transaction over 100 people.

  3. We sell fuel by the gallon which is usually measured to the tenth of a gallon, IE 10.2 gallons. The Clover only allows us to pick a whole number which doesn't allow us to charge the customer the proper amount without doing a custom item for just the sale price. This doesn't allow the customer to see what fuel quantity they purchased on their receipt. This would also help companies that sell items by weight.

  4. We would like to have a multi-location report that breaks down transaction count and dollar amount by card type.

Now clover only provide closeout automatic every day. but for the business that do not have lots of transaction or sometime have a big amount transaction, the business owner want to make closeout manually or can set up the closeout for every 2 days or every week. this is convenient tool to every Clover user.

  6. The recent change to the POS Sales Overview Report has information on it that we do not need. The choice between full and condensed is insufficient. Full is too much and condensed is not enough. We do not do cash posting through Clover therefore do not require those features nor do we require the Sales by Employee. It would be great to be able to select the features needed on the report rather than the catch all. We are using far more thermal paper because of the recent change to the report.

  7. We need the following option in order to create an automatic discount on certain items bought together.
    1. The ability to bundle items together, to create a new item in the inventory. When this bundle item is bought, all items in the bundle are removed from inventory.

    Real life example: if you buy item A, it is $8. If you buy item B, it is $10. If you want to buy both together, it is $15. It is currently impossible to apply this bundle discount on the Online Menu ordering. Also, it can easily be forgotten by employees in shop,…

  8. Since I am giving my staff commission on membership packages sold as well as commissions on products sold, it would be convenient to apply these commission percentages when closing out a sale. This would make it easy to track no only their tipping but obtain the percentage of the products or services sold.

  9. PLEASE , I beg of you to make COST a bulk edit item, not just Price, When entering a long list from a Purchase order it is ridiculously tedious and time consuming to add each item, variants, then price and have to tap back in to every item to add cost. You HAVE to have Cost associated with Price in order to Map a COGS report . I am so frustrated with this.

  11. Currently, when we have someone come in to the store and they want to buy two gift cards, lets say one gift card for $10 and another for $20, we have to break this out into two separate transactions. May we please upgrade the system to enable this?? Drives us nuts!! TY!

  12. With the new Service Growth SaaS plan, it would be of high value to the Merchants and their customers, if customers were able to book / change / cancel appointments and purchase electronic Clover gift cards, directly from the customer's Clover app.

  13. The same way money is added to the Gift Card should be the same way the card is used. For Example: Customer wants $20 on a gift card. Customer gives me the cash, I swipe the gift card to add the $20. But when the customer comes back to use the gift card, they have to give me the card to me to type in each number for the Gift Card to process payment. The customer should be able to swipe the card for payment and not have to give the card to me to type in the numbers. The…

  14. Are you able to add the date an item was entered (or last updated date) and the last time it was purchased? This is important because it will help monitor items that sale and items that don't sale. If the item doesn't sale then this could help identify what items should go on sale or be discounted. This could also shape the direction of the store and keep movement within the store. This can also help with all the trends that change on social media. This can also help see items that are doing well in the store.

  15. Please fix the following:

    • When uploading new items to an existing category, the existing items in that category are removed and uncategorized. Inventory imports should NOT overwrite data.

    • We need to be able to upload more than 1000 items per category.

    • Need to be able to filter by category and by uncategorized.

    • When inventory is exported, the category should be listed on the items page, not in a different tab.

  16. Have the ability to edit customer digital receipts (via text / email) to fit the business branding. The black header and blue print is rough on the eyes.

    Currently the only option is to edit the logo + Heading and Footer Heading.

  17. How about adding a negative variable for certain items. Such as Lotto Winners and Scratcher Winners. We don't want to have to use a Pay Out app when someone brings in a winner. It would need to be a non-revenue item. Most people play again, so why so many steps? I want to be able to hit Lotto Winner as a negative, then a Lotto (same with scratchers) and be done with it. Some have change coming back or some pay more.

  18. It is my understanding that you can only add a picture/icon to an item/listing if you are selling online. PLEASE add this feature if you only sell in person/brick&mortar. It helps our associates know which item to choose to process at checkout by combining a visual representation as well as a description. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ADD THIS!

  19. With the recent tariffs, I had to increase prices of all of my inventory. Rather than manually changing every single item in both the clover app as well as on the shelves, I was able to add a blanket upcharge to cover for inflation due to tariffs using the additional charges option. However, I have to add this in manually for every transaction, and am also unable to exempt certain catergories of items from this upcharge under the Register Plan.

    Customer support had said that I would have to upgrade to the Restaurant Plan in order to do something similar…

  20. Inventory Reporting is pretty non-existent. I would love to have a report in Clover that shows the current value of your inventory. I have to export it to excel each day and then manually multiply my Quantity on Hand by my Cost and then sum the results. Also when it exports to excel, there is no category so you can't get any reports by category. This is important to most retailers.
